Wow, I'd love to have one of the prototype trucks. I would be very tempted to put it back black and white.

You know, at first I thought the same thing, putting it back to black and white but then I thought why bother? It would make the truck look goofy and nobody would know it was a prototype anyways unless you explained it to them. It would be neat to see it original colors at a syty gathering, but outside of that not so much!

Looks like it has Fatman seats, also does the rear window slide open?

Here is another vote for the owner to return it to the Black/White original configuration, Though I don't think it's the best color combo. Granted, Sy/Tys aren't worth what they should be now, and probably the same with the prototypes. One day though they will be. Now is the time to restore it's heritage, not years down the road when any hard to get parts become impossible to get. Does it belong in a museum, never to be driven? Not yet in my opinion. There will be a day though that it should be minimally driven and preserved.

Congrats to the owner!

The only non factory thing I would do is get a Typhoon glove box emblem that says "Shamu" under Typhoon. That would be kick ass, granted only SyTy guys would get it but screw the rest of them.

yes it does slide open.

My uncle has seemed to neglect this car far too much for my liking. The ride is still awful, steering loose, etc...

Yet he's worried about getting subwoofers and all that. I love my loud music, but priorities. This truck will never be original, as far as color goes anyway. "Restore it to it's original..." doesn't mean much around here. "Purists" will turn over in their graves for the stuff he and/or I would do to a car. I've never in my life seen him with a car that hasn't been painted, sound system, aftermarket wheels, etc...
