This was my last LT1 S-10, with distributor in the back and aftermarket EFI harness and ECM by Holley.

This is how I would setup the Typhoon, at least similiar looks wise. This motor had a small cam and 70k miles and ran 12.47 on the motor on 235 Goodyear street tires.

Was this the White w/orange stripes on ebay a while back? If so, that was a nice truck!

yeah, that was the white with orange stripes. It's a 98 with a six speed now....pretty fun driver...but as you can see, no A/C cause it makes them look so much nicer under the hood. Im really up in the air there, but Im leaning towards an LS1 now. I looked all over the net at info on that swap last night. Looks like fun!

I would turbo the V8. Maybe even dual turbo. Go for it!! It would be something to talk about.

ill probably throw it on ebay once before I get started to see if I could sell it rolling. LS1 would be nice, but I have two LT1s, lots of parts and already have a oil pan for that conversion waiting on the shelf.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

SyTyless......for now!
Re: What to do with 27k miles motorless 93 TY???

We have a N/A carb'd 350 in our Sy, and while it is something to talk about, I would rather have a turbo V6. Problems can arise when you go to a non-factory engine, such as exhaust and simple replacement parts like sparkplugs. We had to have our Y-pipe patched at an exhaust shop, and it took 15 minutes to explain why a Syclone has a V8. If I were you, I would look into getting a "stock" type engine, since thats almost 50% of what makes these trucks unique. Do whatever you want, but most importantly, have fun.

Id say either put it back to stock with the V6 and turbo and sell it for everything its worth.

Or put an TT LS1 with a 4L80E trans and i dont think youll have any trouble selling it for what you have in it. That would be an Awesome Ty.
