The tach in the dash is fine.

Why would you need an aftermarket tach?

Please tell me its not one of those 4" monster tachs...

when doing remote starters the white wire on the coil is the tach.

To test it, hook your meter set to AC volts, put 12v+ lead to battery, and neg lead to the white wire. Start the motor and read your meter just like a tachometer. This test wont work if you forget and use dc volts.

hey jimmy

They say that whoever has the biggest tach wins!!! :D

Actually i like this if you are manually shifting as my momo wheel, same one as used in the marlboro sy's, blocks part of the tach and speedo.

Actually its not the 4'' tach its the 5'' w/light. The factory tach isnt fine. Its off by several hundred RPMs (most are). I need it for racing. Im not manually shifting, but its in D and I need to shift into OD towards the end of the 1/4. I hit my rev limiter before, watching the factory tach. I had this tach laying around and I needed a shift light. I thought I would just use this one. Its not in the window either.

if you need to shift to OD you must be doing over 110 trap speeds. By shifting you are slowing down the truck.
