Whats everyones opinion on waxes for the Syclone?

whats the best everyone has used? i like Mother's, its the best i have found? but i do hate when the sun directly hits the truck in that certain way when it shows all the spider marks.

opinions? exeriences?

It might take you a little while to find a dealer, but I am sure a lot of people will back me up when I tell you Zaino Bros. makes the best wax on the planet. This stuff is absolutely amazing...if you give it a full treatment (clay bar, then swirl remover, then polish, and wax) your Sy will look perpetually wet. IMHO its the best stuff on the market.

I use Meguiars yellow wax. It makes the color a really rich, dark black. They also make a polishing wax that acts like a sealer. It works great.

I'm with Mike on this. Zaino all the way!!! I won't use anything else and once you try it you'll see why. It takes a good part of a day to do everything the right way, but it is well worth it. I'm pretty sure you can only get Zaino products from Zaino. www.zainobros.com If ya order it go with the clay bar, Z1, Z3, the wash, and Z5. You might want the Detailing spray too.

Get the whole kit , clay bar etc...
Great shine and worth the labor.
Also note that if you have the original paint to get the stuff for vehicles without clear coat. If it's been repainted it more than likely has clear on it..
Also cheak out the f-body board I think they had a GP going on.

Zaino is technically a polish only, not a wax...

The advantages:
No matter what wax you use, it will dull in the sun in a matter of days/weeks. Zaino doesn't dull...

The disadvantage:
Some people on Corvette Forums had posted that it doesn't quite protect like a real wax. I.E. Bird shit left on for more than a day could easily acid etch the paint where as with a wax, it'd take much longer...

If you want the utmost in shine... Zaino...

Protection... I'm not saying Zaino is bad, but wax protects better...

If you want was, the longest lasting I've found is the Mcguiars Gold Class...

Keep in mind, the shiny part of wax is usually the silicones in it, not the carnuba(which is actually quite dull). Once the silicone burns off, you get dulling because all that is left is the carnuba.

Get Dri-Wash N Gaurd......best stuff ever. It is a little pricey but works great. It is NOT and Abrasive and doesn't take off any paint. It fills all the little spider cracks you see in the sun. It worked great on my truck. It is like a spray and you don't even need to wash the truck if it is dusty. I hazes up and is easy to wipe off. Do this twice and it works great. Doesn't streak either.


My uncle----who owned a GNX used it all the time. It was the only product that removed the swirl..spider marks without taking off the paint.

Get the second step if you do. That is all you will need. It comes with a spray bottle.
