About two months ago I install 1 5/8" lowering blocks on my Sy. All is well and the ride height is good. I then replace the Bilstein shocks (stock ones) with new like Bilsteins and the ride height is like an inch higher. I figured I'd let them settle. Two months and 150 miles later and they haven't settled. Do I need to drop it 3" to get it to look good? Seems like a lot to me. Need help.......thanks!
Anyone have pics of a Sy or Ty dropped 3 inches in the rear.

I know I have the correct shocks too, and they are the HD type.

Thanks :D

1 5/8" blocks aren't doing to drop much of anything. Yank the POS blocks and get the 3" Belltech leafs...you will LOVE them. I have Kenne Bell 3" blocks sitting in my garage if you really want to go that route. The ride quality with blocks is total crap compared to the drop leafs. Let me know 8)

The fender height in the back is 28 7/8" at the center of the wheel to the bottom lip of the cladding (with 5/8 blocks). The front is at 26 7/8". Does that make sense?

Where did you get the springs? Model #? The Sy in your pic, is that with the springs or blocks?

Thanks

Shocks shouldn't make a difference in ride heigth. I agree with the 3' leafs... had them on my s-10 & they worked great compared to the blocks. 8)

heres a pic of mine when i first got it in 94. not sure if it had 3" in back

i know i had 3" in there and they didnt work. over a good bump the rear would come up so high that the rear end would come up and hit the frame. so i ended up running air shocks in the back. and it seems to hold up good

"Shocks don't make a difference in height"????? I don't buy this, with all due respect :D I recently replaced the rear shocks on my Aero (stock for stock) and it raised a good 1/2". It's got to be the shocks in the Sy since nothing else was changed.
