Whats the function of this hole......

The third hole on the Edelbrock water pump part #8881, which is a stock replacement I thought. Its at the top and is 1/2in and threaded. Did I forget to run a line or can this be plugged?

this is supposed to be plugged...it was used on some older small block apps..

Yup...used for a heater connection on some small block applications...just plug it, 'cause we don't use it.

I actually used my and added a temp sensor there...
Otherwise useless
