What's up with this....................

I recently bought a G-Tech and had some fun in the Sy. First of all, my Sy is fairly stock with the addition of Todd's 10-1 chip (running T-116), K&N, 160 Thermo, AFPR, Walbro 225, full recent tune-up and a few other minor things. The best 0-60 that I could get was 4.89. Does that sound right? I know it's fast but I would have thought it would do 4.5ish. Am I on crack here? I had a full tank of gas, did the patented race start. All four tires spun a bit, even the 315's out back. The temp was probably 25 deg.

Thoughts? Thanks!

G-techs are alright, if you spun the tires at all, your loosing time, did you just go out and do the g-tech, or did you get the tires a little warm at all?

The tires were cold, that is true. Perhaps next time I will drive up and down the highway a few times and try again. I'll also let the temp rise a bit too.

That might be my problem :D Maybe there's too much dirt on the tires from all the damn farm roads. Seriously, does my time make sense?

not stock
w/ the same mods except for the chip and afpr, I did a 5.212 according to datamaster w/ a 200lb passenger and about a 10lb launch and minor spin.

How much boost did you leave with? I think you'll find less boost will yield quicker 60 foot times. Datamster has my syclone 0-60 @ 3.6 seconds

not sure about the boost level. Damn, that's a good 0-60 for your truck but you do have yours moded a bit more to say the least. I will try lowering the boost a bit and see what happens.

I try to launch with 5-6 lbs. The only thing my truck beyond yours is:9/11 converter, te-45 turbo + headers. Not sure headers really help any. Just work on your launch technique and tire pressure to launch with as little wheelspin as possible. Your bigger wheels gotta help. I have stock wheels and tires but lower tire pressure some.
