My 12V lithium Bosch cordless power drill. Best $100 I ever spent.
I went (too) many years with an old craftsman corded drill (with chuck key and all) inherited from my father and was liberated from the hassle of finding outlets and changing bits when I bought the Bosch. Has saved me hours on small tasks on the car and around the house.
Second would be WD40.
Third: Riding mower. Made a one hour job 15 minutes.
Fourth: The AAA card in my wallet. Gets used more than most tools.

Hmm. I'd have to say 1/4 " ratchet set. With deep sockets.

Powerprobe III. It is a meter and more. Cuts my electrical/electronic diagnostic time down drastically.
