Hey... I was wondering if anyone has pics of their rigs with aftermarket wheels with no spacers or adapters.. Chrome, polished, black... whatever.. any pics would be appreciated, thanks.
Well, how the truck looks without spacers is going to be different with different wheels. Some aftermarket wheels have the correct offsets, so all 4 sit flush, like the stockers. Other aftermarket wheels will have incorrect offsets. Generally speaking, aftermarket wheels without the correct off sets, and without spacers, sit 28mm in on the rear. Like if you take a set of four 17" Corvette wheels for example. The fronts bolts right on and line up perfect. The rear will sit in 28mm per side.
Yeah i figured... I know what backspace and offset is... I was just tryin to get an idea of which wheels would come remotely close. Cuz it seems impossible to find a set for the Sytys because of their weird backspacing in the rear.
yup it is, and the fact that these trucks are "old", means wheel manufactures really arent making anything directly for our trucks, or even the older cars who shared similar offsets like the C4 Vette.
So your options are limited to ZR1 wheels, trying to find a set of old American Racing wheels with the correct offsets, going with an expensive set from a manufacture such as Fikse, or going to a completely custom wheel made for you.
Just curious, I have a chance to get a set of 88 corvette wheels with nice tires for $350. Will these need spacers or fit with out spacers? Reason I ask is that I have a set of ZR1 wheels with spacers on the back, and I don't want to run spacers.
or c4 z06 wheels (staggered 17"F-18"R)
I'm totally unaware they made a 4th gen zo6... please tell me more. lol
