Where can I find a motor???

Does anybody know where I might be able to find a complete engine, stock or slightly modded?

I recently purchased a red '92 Ty with 63K for $1,500 :D, but the engine is in pieces in the back; the crank split in two  . All of the pieces are fine except a couple c-rods, but I'd like to find a drop-in assembled used complete engine to save the build hassle.

If anyone can help me, or provide me with a contact, or website to buy a short / long block, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Wow....don't think I'm looking to get into anything in the 10 second range. Something bone stock, a couple notches above would be desirealbe. It's going to be a daily driver with maybe the occasional trip to the strip. Thanks for the post though.....greatly appreciated.

theres plenty of info here on what parts are needed to build a shortblock...providing they threw in the expensive parts (upper and lower intakes, stock exhaust manifolds, turbocharger, electrical harnesses, acc. brackets, i/c, ect...) the rest should be a piece of cake...if you want a stockish build, you'll get by pretty cheap on the shortblock...but i would at least go with 2 bolt billet main caps, low compression trw pistons, l35 rods and heads, stock crank...if you spend a little more, you can get alot more, especially if you shop around and take your time...man i hate when people dissassemble a motor and throw all the pieces in the back of a vehicle, but it's still a good way to keep most of the stuff together i guess...sounds like you got a hell of a deal on the truck...i've seen trucks w/o any of the motor go for around 4k...good luck and post pics soon...

I have all of the parts there; intake and exhaust manifolds, heads (casting #10144103, don't know if that's the L35 you're talking about), i/c, turbo w/pipes, all the wiring, plumbing, accessories and brackets. It's nice that the p.o., when taking everything apart, clearly labeled EVERYTHING, both in the engine compartment, then on the piece being removed so everything will be just matching up numbers.....

The guy selling it wanted $3500 for it and I offered $1500; he took it, couldn't believe it. Mint interior, stock wheels, mind cladding all the way around, needs some paint thrown at it, but a real nice score indeed.

ok so you have all the parts so you dont need a complete motor. you just want a short block?

reason I say that is bc the intakes and exhaust manifolds are goin to cost you more than you paid for the truck.

I have a full long block that I am trying to sell. It has less that 30K miles on it. It has one bad piston but still runs. I also have a like new tranny with less than 30K miles on it. I can send you a complete listing and pics tonight.
