where did you first hear about the forums? what made you get on?

i first heard from a local friend and TY owner who is not a member, but suggested this site would answer alot of the questions i had for building my truck.

i was used to websites like syclone-typhoon.com where they had parts and prices for sale and it was a business type thing.

first time i got on i had no idea what to do, it had never occurred to me that a bunch of guys would create a site pertaining to their trucks and buy and sell the parts off their trucks.

At the time i also had never owned a computer before, so i didn't know much about the internet, and had never heard of a "tech forum" before either

this site has really helped me:tup:

I have wanted a sy ever since i was a teenager, when i could afford one as a toy i did a google search and found this site to do some research and i have been a member ever since.....:tup:

Got word about it on the old syty mailing list when I was on there. If you were on the list, you ARE old school for sure :lol:! Hard to believe in July of this year, I will owned my truck for ten years... It has DEFINITELY been a life changing experience for me for sure :)!

I don't remember how I came across the site. I knew I wanted a Syclone when I was younger, and was finally in a position last year to get one. Started looking online for a Typhoon (needed a backseat for family) and found mine, as well as this site. Sure is handy to have sooooo much good info available, otherwise who knows how many trucks would still be around.

Found it years and years ago when I got my first Blazer in 2004. Never signed up until January 2007 when I was seriously considering buying (and ended up getting) my 94 Braphoon.

Now if only one day I'll have a 100% running Ty it'll be amazing! :D

i found it after searching on the net. i really wanted a syty badly. joined the board and hoping to find one here, i did find all my truck somewhere else, but is was cool learning about these trucks on here.

Found a nice Ty in cali while helping my girlfriend look for a new vehicle following the theft of her old one.

I hit up the checklist and stumbled upon the site.

You should have seen how mad my girl was when i drove to norwalk to snag my Ty before she bought a new daily :D

Truth is I was on gnttype.org listserve for years and wanted to learn more about SyTys. There was a time when I was considering trading my GN for a Ty :eek: and someone told me about syty.

I actually joined prior to 2003 but was away for a while and when I came back, couldn't remember my original log in info, so started a new one. I just lurked at that point.

Was doing research for what I thought was an impending purchase about 6 years ago. Jeff Scott volunteered to go look at it with me, and was super helpfull then. even nice enough to give some young kid a ride in his then running Typhoon (BTW, that was the only time I had ridden in it until this past summer!)......

Man how times have changed!!!

I got on in 2003 right after I bought my Ty. I made a few posts but for some reason when I went to go back and read them they were gone? I found the site just by researching the Typhoon. I remember the night before I bought one I decided I wanted one and started looking on line and the first thing I saw was a red on red with chrome wheels that was SUPER clean. It was for sale and was bad ass. I bought mine the next day by a stroke of luck. With out the board, I would say my TY may run but probably not too good. I have also picked up some damn good friends here along the way.:tup:

Same here only I'll be on nine years soon, but didn't start posting here untill a few years later. Congrats on the ten years!!

I found this site through BLAZINLOW.COM.

My first car was a 1st gen s10 blazer and ever since I discovered what a Typhoon was, it was just a matter of time before I could afford one. I have had only two vehicles in my life that I swore I would own before I die (C6 vette and the Typhoon). I have the Typhoon and I still can't believe I got it every time I go into my garage to admire it!

for me a syclone was always the "holy grail of s-10's" i wanted one since i was a teenager. but could never afford one.i got a ride in a gutted interior typhoon that was at the s-series nationals aka mud fest!!lol!! and was hooked. i also at about the same time watched an old video that is on you tube to this day, of a brutal syclone launch....watched it 20 +times!!! one day i found this site couldn't believe the low prices that they were going for. found sy 0569 and never looked back.
my girlfriend makes fun of these trucks, and espically this site, saying i spend too much time on it........hmmmmmmmm........time to get a new girlfriend.......no??:rotf::rotf::rotf::tup:

always wanted one. was in high school when they came out. found site by pure luck i guess. read up a bit. forgot bout the dream for a while. finaly bought one and been on almost everyday ever since.
