Where to buy NEW SY transfer case? ---

I am planning on getting this shake out of my truck , and want to just replace the Transfer Case with a new one. I dont want my stock one rebuilt, because thats just more downtime ... and could possibly cost as much as a new one after labor and parts add up.

PLEASE tell me where to buy a new Transfer case, and how much $$$ to expect to shell out for one, THANKS ---

Theres only one part number, but two TRANSFER CASE TYPE numbers ... is that because the SY and TY units arent exchangeable?

They are not interchangable but I am sure if you call them and tell them you need one for a Syclone, thay will fix you up. There are propably more sources. I'd use your favorite search engine and shop around. :tup:

it takes one hour to rebuild them,just rebuild it,way cheaper

I am looking for the 27 spline 1372 case from the Astro Van right?

I found a rebuild kit on Ebay. I may just go that route ... the kit is $150 shipped ... so that gives me around $450 to spend on labor fixing it. Will that cover it?

I will be using a Carbon Fiber driveshaft in stock length, a gilbert propshaft, and the 700r ... so I need everything to just be a straight swap. THANKS ---

The Ty and SY TC are interchangeable, just takes little time to exchange output shafts and
the end covers.
I found a company that sells the TC Viscous Coupler for low$$
Notice that the shipping costs are for Denmark, Europe not the US.

Well good idea, but I bought the TC from a Ty without the yoke...

Have you verified that it's the T-case causing the shake?


I tore into cause of some vibrations issues like that. I opened the t- case and inspected all the bearings and found nothing there. But i did noticed that the driveshaft busshing in the tailshaft housing was wore down pretty good and the drive shaft yolk ahd a pretty good amount of up and down movement. check that first.


After i replaced that and new u joints and a drive shaft rebalance. all is good. Besure to check you motor mounts as they can cause a alignment issues with the front propshaft aswell
