Re: Where to mount?

Id say in the grill, if you mount it in the stock CCHE location, it will be at an angle and not catch as much air...

How about right behind the grill in place of the condenser :p

To close the radiator for my Skyline intercooler because the end tanks curve around which would make it impossible to mount there.

That makes sense but I have the kb big boy a/a i.c. and it has a "scoop" (i guess you can call it) and it deflects air into it perfectly fine. You also have to consider that where the lower cche is mounted is sufficient to cool the stock heat exchanger, so it shouldnt be a problem for the a/a in the same place, so long as you have something directing the air to it. Other wise behind the grille looks bad ass!!

Look at the two air2air kits currently offered for our trucks by the vendors.. the mccoy and the rpm units.. both mount below and both handle 600hp+ I think and both have been on hella fast trucks so it's not a matter of if they are efficent or not.. it's a matter of prefference I think.. and I agree behind the grill looks killer

I have the KB too and I like thats it sits below the bumper.. I dont think one is more efficent than the other since they both are getting mass amounts of air either way....

:stupid: Same with the Mccoy setup, I just like the routing on the Mccoy setup better, but not the price. :( Either way, I never really liked the stock setup, too much to go wrong, with the pumps and lines, KISS, with the A2A. :2cents:
