Needs a little TLC in the engine bay, but nice find regardless.
Im not down with the pinstripes, GMC in the upper corner of the tailgate, and painted grille, but to each his own. Those look like dealer installed pinstripes, BTW....they didnt come from the factory with them if you were wondering. The rear slider window is also aftermarket, they came from the factory with solid glass.
Also, just to make a correction in your post, 2995 estimated Sys, 2500 Tys for 92, 2200 Tys for 93.

i'm usually not a fan of pinstripes but in person they actually do look good. the grille is actually pinstripes also. good call on the slider, i hadn't even noticed. it also has a spray in bedliner. and yea i made that post before i had researched very much on the typhoons, i'll go back and edit so the info's correct.SYO237 said:Needs a little TLC in the engine bay, but nice find regardless.

truck looks pretty clean!
although i will agree that the engine bay needs a lil TLC, and maybe drop the ass down a bit. How many miles on it?
oh and JMO... but id ditch the red pinstripe on the grille... just doesnt look right.

Only weird thing is the certificate of authenticity, the date on it says Feb. 6th 92. Did the orginal owner wait till 92 to get this or was that when it was sent to him Mark? (I just noticed this Odd that it was 10 months later....)

mapquest says they are 22.91 miles apart from each other, about a 28 min trip. i was wondering if they were at dealerships at the same time and maybe one dealership rode by another and saw the dealer added pinstripe and said hey that looks good, we need to do ours before thier truck sells before ours due to a pinstripe! lol or maybe the 2 dealers are owned by the same owner, OR the independent mobile pinstriper hitting all the dealers in the area did it? when was the production date on 1713? mine was 4-91

David Jones, the original owner, still lives in Indy (I have a list of all the owners if you want it, and a little history about each one). He has owned at least two Syclones and three Typhoons. I imagine 1713 was like a lot of Syclones.... it sat on a dealer's lot into 1992 because the sticker price was too high for most people to swallow for a S-15 standard cab truck that couldn't haul or tow. I have heard several Syclones sold for far less than sticker just to get them off the lot.
