which would you pick?

hey guys,
i had a ty that was stolen a few weeks ago, and it doesn't look like it's going to come back. so it's time to get another car. i was thinking about another sy/ty, talon/eclipse, or an rx-7. i'm sure that someone here has owned all three. i haven't done any research yet, so i'm starting here. which is more reliable, easiest to mod, ect. thanks.

Sorry to hear about your Ty. As far as your question goes I think you may get some biased answers here. My opinion, get a Sy. I love mine. As a matter of fact I sold a 93 RX-7 to get it. The RX-7 is a good car, but it has a grenade for a motor. Plus if you start modding it, good luck finding someone who can tune a turbo-rotary. Also it was very, VERY tempermental ?spelling?. Talons and Eclipses (turbo AWD models only), can be made fast for very little $. But every ricer in the world either owns or wants one. The Sy, nothing beats the look on someones face after they just got smoked by a truck. My opinion once again, a Sy. But do your research and get what you want.

I know full well what it is like to have a vehicle stolen. I swore off nice cars after that happened, but it was only denile.

My opinion - Save a SY/TY, but if your going to venture out, stay with American Muscle.

I wish I had a SY to complement the TY - no money though...

RX-7'S TEND TO HURT THEMSELVES OFTEN. I HAVE A FREIND WITH MUCH MONEY INVESTED IN APEX SEALS ON A 75000 CAR.

DSM CARS (ECLIPSE, TALON) ARE TOTAL CRAP HEAPS THAT DEVALUATE LIKE ENRON STOCK

I HAVE NOT HAD A TY FOR A WHILE AND CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT ANY MORE!!! DON'T PUSS OUT AND GO CHEAP.

Talons may be "ricers" but you can find alot of them that are MINT, no mods, turbo AWD, and cheap. (at least around here)

May be my next beater.... :drinking:

why do even look at those other cars? I see a million of them every day...to me, its about owning something special and rare...get a syty bro.

one of my friends has a rx-7 turbo carb. he has had a lot of work done on it (compleate motor rebiuld all that rotor crap, new turbo, intercooler,50 shot NOS and alot of other stuff). well the guy he bought it from said it was like low 12's (had the 50 shot and new turbo and a few other things) then my friend put another 5-7k into it. still to this day he has never got on it because the thing doesnt run for shit. just kind of sputters around town. for a car that has close to 10K in it, it look like crap (not under the hood) and runs like crap, mabey one day he will pull off his 11 to 10 sec run he always brags about. My truck 13.8 sec, very few mods and 110Kmiles and i will still take any mofo off the line.

i'd love to have another syty (in a perfect world, i'd have 3 or 4 of them), but being in college, and thus, not having much $$$, i need something cheap, or something really reliable. i'm not sure, but i hear that talons get quick for for little money. what is the cheapest i can get a syty that's in good condition? i don't know anything about them, but it would be cool to say that i have a rotary engine.
