White smoke

Ok I did a search but didnt find what I was looking for. Anyways put new trans, transfer case in the ty I just picked up and running into issues. I stalled up the truck it went into boost and then I could see white smoke. Truck has been sitting for about 5 years supposely a new 20g turbo on truck. I am guessing bearing/ seal letting oil by and getting into exhaust. Truck does not smoke at idle or light throttle just when I built up boost. No smoke coming from oil fill nothing leaking.

Any ideas??

Are you sure it is white or blue color smoke ????
If it is white your burning water or coolant and blue
is oil maybe a turbo leak or blowby in the engine !!! :tup:

First thing I did was take off oil cap and no smoke and air wasnt pushing out. Could have been blue couldnt see all that well. Like I said though no smoke at idle just when I put boost to it.

Correct you will only get smoke at boost because of
back pressure in the turbocharger at idle will not have any blowby !!! :tup:

Am having the same problem, it looks like my turbo is leaking oil. do you guys think is cheaper or better to fix turbo or just buy a new one

This happened to me when my turbo went bad... well actually, I messed it up by not priming my turbo after my GSX sat for many years. I blew out the seals and cracked the wastegate.
It would only smoke under boost. By smoke I mean SMOKE SCREEN.

If they rebuild your turbo center case with new
bearings and seals it can help but i should consider
a complete rebuild unit as upgrade to stock !! :tup:
