You're missing the point Erik. The line was "temporarily disconnected" yesterday - I can tell you that this is true from firsthand knowledge.

Howard, my only point was an appeal to attempt to contact Al again before anyone assumed he turned off his phone and skipped town with their cash. I personally spoke to Al on Tuesday, and the phone rang in to his voice mail on Thursday when I tried it, no problem. It appears his phone wasn’t working Wednesday, for whatever reason. Had the roles been reversed, I would have wanted to know if someone had contrary knowledge the day after the phone was “disconnected”.

This is bullshit and members of this BB have significant amounts of money on the line. It's not too late for Al to come through but at this point all I have is heartburn and a bad taste in my mouth.

So Erik, you can dispense with the smiley faces and cutesy cliches in this thread. The people who are concerned about their $$ are NOT AMUSED.

Howard, I am in on the GP as well. That makes me one of the people with “money on the line” (cutesy cliché’?). I must admit I have not pushed Al for a ship date; I have just been patient and waited for him to contact me. I haven’t had any problems contacting him via phone or e-mail, and he has taken the time to answer specific questions I’ve had on several occasions. I am also mindful of the fact that more than a few members of this BB know Al personally, several owners presently have Al’s kit on their trucks, and many favorable comments have been made about the quality and performance of his kits. I would not be so bold as to suggest how anyone handles their personal business, but as for me, I like having the knowledge that I have been as fair and understanding as possible before I call in the artillery. :snipersmile: That’s the way I played it with CAS, and that’s why I have no problem relaying my bad experience there with a clear conscience. Do unto others, ya know? (oops!)

You play it how you see fit; but I’m not ready to write Al off yet. Here’s hoping you soon wind up with a coil-over kit for Dennis to install :smilecolros:

Everyone, I will be getting in contact with all of the GP people to give tracking numbers. I am sorry I have a been a little difficult to get a hold of last week. I have been in and out of the hospital and doctors trying to get my eye healed so I can get back to work. I would never skip town and the reason my phone was off on wensday was due to the fact that the main pole was next down due to an accident.

Jas, I will call or email as well. But just to clear things up for everyone as you kind of twisted it a little bit. You did not pay for anything except tierods which I gave you a very good deal on. You did not even buy the coilover kit, it came with the truck when you purchased it. So please do not make it out to be like I took your money and did not ship anything to you as, I was sending you parts at no cost as a friend and I am sorry it has taken me a while to get them to you. But I have been very busy not in good health so please bare with me.

I myself was not part of the GP but have been waiting since the nationals in July for 2 steering stops and 2 spanner wrenches.
It was shipped at least twice that I was told but I still have no product and no tracking number.

Nope I never misled anyone, I just jumped in on this thread to see how many other people are inteh same boat as me,. afa waiting.

I did pay you for the tie rods, plus the spanner wrenches and I threw in $20 extra to cover the steering stops and shipping so it was easier on you.
My truck sat on jack stands for 5 weeks waiting on tie rods, and at that time you told me my other stuff was shipping the next day, that was 2 months, 3 phone calls, and 10 or so emails ago.

All I want is my parts and I won't bother you anymore.

Just don't pay in advance, and expect several months wait.

BTW: Al told me he was in the hospital for a bleeding ulcer....so, I guess he has been a very sick boy...

use a credit card always .... and never order anything unless you have a written agreement that delivery to your doorstep will take place in no longer than 90 days... if they can't agree to that then ask them when they can...

My situation is pretty insignificant compared to everyone with the coil-overs. I ordered a Tial external WG, had delivery problems on his end, and didn't get the dump pipe he charged me $17 for. I called and left him a message - no reply. It was only $17, but it was just the principal and the way the whole thing took place. All I asked for was a return phone call to let me know what was up.

Too bad; I was really looking forward to getting his suspension. I've never posted anything negative about a vendor. I wish this type of thing wouldn't happen - especially with someone like Al who obviously builds and sells quality parts.

Is this a good reason, perhaps, to have Rick or Jerry or Mike handle the resale piece of things for our club officially?

Each one of them offer it, order from whom you please.
Then the Members whom are trying to offer a product don't have to interface with all the customers, only one or two calls to the resellers?

It is a middleman approach, and adds a layer of complexity, but this has been a problem with our club historically.

I know Al, and trust him and believe that he is a very honest person.
I see him at the Nats like many of you.

I don't think anyone (bar a select few) are out to intentionally harm other club members.

I remember that it took me like 2 fucking months to get a goddamn flashlight or something back to Guy Lavy and I have given out tons of vacuum lines, race gas and other shit to members and never seen hide or tail of it.

I think something needs to be formalized and centralized in our community to address this issue.

Maybe the board could standardize on a process, I don't know.

Yes I was in the hospital for a bleeding ulcer and I have had other health problems lately, this is part of the reason for stuff not getting shipped out on time. If anyone else has a problem please just email or call as I do not check here often at all.
