with the mods he had listed, if he didnt get the sy from a roll then i would think something was seriously wrong with the car or driver one. from a dig it would have probably been a close race. chances are it was also a bone stock sy. :2cents:

it couldnt be completely stock if he ws changing boost on the fly. maybe it was stock plus an in cab boost controller.

DITTO, my coworker's fox body is 302 powered and runs low 13's on just motor. He is also a full 1,000 pounds lighter than me too. He built this car on a shoe string budget and has less than $1K invested and that is including the price that he paid for the car...

my buddy has a fox coupe for sale for cheap $900, headers, fresh motor, intake, fairly new t5 tranny, it has a lifter knocking he says.I have been debating buying it, what do you guys think, it is a FORD tho! i have had mustangs before, but for 900 plus a set of lifters is a cheap dragstrip toy.

if you got the cash to spare buy it, definetly. i would, like you said if nothing else it would be a great toy for the track at that price. also coupes are getting very hard to find and thats usually the body ppl want for racing. you could buy it, fix the lifter and make some money off the deal. i know of ppl willing to pay that much for a notch back with no drivetrain. :2cents: what year is it?

I'd buy it.. even if you strip it and sell everything.. as a roller you could get the $900 back out of it lol.. I've owned three fox mustangs and want another one real bad.. will have one by summer I hope. My little brother has two and a svo (2.3 turbo) mustang.. They are so easy to work on and parts are extremely cheap and easy to come across. My little brother's daily driver weighed in with him in the car at 2912lbs.. only thing that's been removed is the shit under the carpet in the hatch and it was converted to manual rack.. oh and it has drag lites on it.

I BELIEIVE ITS A 91, PONY RIMS, 90% TREAD ON BFG TIRS, 150K+ MILES ON CAR NOT MOTOR, HAS A LITTLE RUST ON TRUNK LID AND JUST BELOW GLASS ON PASS DOOR, BUT ALL IN ALL A DECENT CAR. i WOULD JUMP ON IT IF I WAS 100%SURE IT WAS JUST A LIFTER, BUT I HATE TO BUY SOMETHING THAT TURNS INTO ANOTHER PROJECT. BUT I GUESS I'LL GO CHECK IT OUT AGAIN TONIGHT.

The Fox said he's probably putting down between 350-360rwhp and I'm sure he weighs about 500 lbs less than the Sy. From a dig I wonder how long he could have held him off for?

assuming car is in stock form. get it, then invest in a set of afr or canfield heads(the stock heads choke the engine to death), a good intake and an frpp cam. for less than $3000 you should have a pretty kick ass car. if its knocking chances are its in the top end anyway .

I would pick it up... those 302's can take a beating and are cheap to build up.

Thanks for finding that on the stang site.. cause the person he is talking about is me.... Funny though how he didn't tell the whole story. I was on my way home that night and had my son who is seven with me.. so I wasn't going to do anything outrageous.. I was just playing around.. from a roll at 30 up to about 80.... funny how he forgot to mention that in the race he supposedly walked me there was a car in my lane and I let off way ahead of time so i wouldn't have to make a quick lane change with my son in the truck. I don't have a way to turn the boost up from the cab.. he must have missunderstood me when we pulled over to talk. Prev owner had two racegates on the crossover but i disabled them. because the stock waste gate was working fine. I told him I was just playing around ( I didn't build any boost while rolling either.. just stabbed it when he got on it ) and offered to drop my son off and come back out to go from a stop and he said no thanks... didn't want any of that. SO if someone can post on that forum.... give him an open invite and lets see what happens when I really get on it... with some boost built and from a stop.
