Isn't the idle on the leaner side from the factory for emission reasons?

what i been told also - but from idle to, lets say, half-throttle - is that normal ??
... or could therefore be another (mechanic) reason / cause ??

should i expect any damage from that lean condition until WOT ?

TIA, pat.

DRP = Distributor reference pulse. They should occur all the time.
The flag is there for code diagnosis, mostly. It flags entry into an interrupt handler for things based on engine speed. (Like the RPM calculation, for example)

Having a language translation problem here... There's an advance field (both commanded and real), and a calculated Injector DC. (ECM doesn't have an internal parameter for Injector DC)

Means one of a few things:

1) You're not using the stock WG setup.
2) You are using the stock setup, but there's a hose unplugged/not working.
3) Your WG rod isn't tight enough.

Stock system tries to achieve the target boost by modulating the WG solenoid. The actual boost is how close it is to actually doing it. :)

These 2 numbers will *never* be exactly the same. Best that I've seen is +/- .5 psi.

You don't necessarily want open loop... when everything's working right, it'll remain closed loop most of the time. (Other than at WOT).
Seriously Dig, You ought to write a book on the 7749.

I'm sure you've forget more than a lot of ppl know.

That's a pretty big undertaking.... there's so much stuff in there that it would take a huge amount of time.

Direct questions like this are much easier... like what does parameter X mean, and how can you use it...

Greenie answered a lot of these in the past, but there's a lot of detail that can be added.

Jeff and I discussed having a DM/Tunerpro tech session at Nats X.... would cover most of the common parameters, and some basic troubleshooting. I'd like to see this happen this year.
