pppssssshhhhhtttttttttttt
Hey Guys .... I have a set of McCoy ported l-35's ... stage 1. I was inspecting them this morning for cracks, ect and noticed that ONE of the heads has putty on the side wall of all 3 intake ports.
The problem is that the crap is WEAK, and started to chip off with minor pressure from my fingers (see the pics, its light yellow in color). I could see this causing MAJOR engine damage if it happened to chip off during engine operation. It seems like it got too hot and started to curl away from the side of the ports? It is only on one side , like a 1" high by 2" long patch ... as if they were OVERPORTED and then CORRECTED?
Do you guys think I should have my new shop grind all that shit out of there and leave it, or is there something else they could put in there that is better? I think I broke off all the weak spots....should I just leave it now? Thanks ---
