i do agree with you guys on running from a roll is gay but try that big pig from a roll and it will be a different story. at the track that i go to stock str10's with a real driver have been noted to go in the mid to high 13's in the 1/4. now from a roll they can actually strech there legs and use all the power...

makes me think of supra's. can make insane numbers on the dyno. but as some say around here... "whats the difference between a 400hp supra and a 1000hp supra? half a second in the 1/4 mile" ...

What is the difference between a 600rwhp, 800rwhp and 1000rwhp Supra?

Nothing, they all run 13s.

I rode in his a couple years ago and wow

Yeah, I've ridden in it a few times too and it is definately NOT slow by any stretch of the imagination. On the other hand, I have never ridden in a SRT-10 so I am keeping an open mind. Ben's 03 Cobra runs 11.7 in the quarter on the street and he races R1's in the WERA circuit so I wouldn't classify him anywhere close to novice in launching/racing. It's all in fun (and to settle some curiosity) but this should be good.

For some reason I think T-Bone has an altered sense of reality.A 500 hp 4000lb vehicle with traction VS a 500 hp 5000lb vehicle without.Who will win? :haha:

Just think Shaun, you rode in my truck on the "gay" setting.I crank it up another 175 HP and what do you think's gonna happen? Destruction, terror, and mayhem. The Dodge is toast.

Somewhere the transmission of data the information has become convaluted. The SRT/10 is NOT my truck. It belongs to my brother. I am just gonna baby-sit it for a year while he deploys to Iraq :). Personally, I wouldn't own one. Not only is it a waste of $43,000, but IMO they are ugly; very ugly. I have the BEST performance truck manufactured to date along with most of you guys!!

I have a 68 shortbox CST and a slightly wrecked 1998 Camaro SS with 21,098 miles I just trailered in here Sunday. My intent is to transplant the SS guts into the pickup and then add a S/C to it with an estimated completion date of August 06. That'll be 500 hp in a 3,800 lb truck......and they do make street drag radials in 16" so I'll get ALL the power to the pavement. Then I squash my buddy Jimmy.

I am a realist. I know you'll jump him outa the hole but from a roll, I think you (and a few others) have an altered sense of reality.

Well, the SRT/10 is here and what a work of art!! Everything about it is nice....power, acceleration, handling and braking. You'd NEVER think this thing weighs remotely close to 5,000 lbs. My first ride was exhilerating and driving it was better. Any of you who doubt it's ability must ride in one and then come back with input. Oh Jimmy, my camcorder battery is fully charged with a blank tape in the carry case.....let's schedule a run for the guys to see the real answers to the poll :).

Yeah, that might not be too perty (HA). I'm not doing this for bragging rights or anything. I just want to see if what people claim to be true really is. There are lots of variables in any race but Jimmy's truck is exceptionally fast and I can not remember ever missing a gear so.....that eliminates any excuses right up front on both our parts. I poke and jab at Jimmy only because I know he is one of the few that can take it. He's an awesome person and I am fortunate he lives right down the road from me but come race day, it'll be all business so get a skirt in his size :).

Wrong day of the week for me, cowboy. I am game any other day of the week. My work schedule is 7-11 am and 12-7 pm Mon-Sat (until Jan 4th) so pick any time around that and I am in!! 11-12 would work for me too. I know you work evenings so it's either early morning or lunchtime. You choose and let me know. I'm double giddy :).

The sun rises at 7am,so we'd have to do it on your day off. No way in hell I'm gonna do 100 mph on a public road at 12 in the afternoon,or when it's dark out.

Early early morning would be best IMO,but we need daylight so the video can be seen.

If you want to run it at the track, races start at 7pm Friday nights.
