Why do people ask if I have a REAL Typhoon?

Well i have the cladding off my Typhoon for painting and a someone stops by and asks if it's a real Typhoon. This isn't the first time i've heard this comment.
Why is it that people think there are tons of fake ones out there.
I also love it when they say that they're hard to find.
I know of syty's for sale all the time.
Oh well.

I liked when I was waiting in line at the track...and some girl says to me "Is that yours?" [meaning...you're racing that hillbilly truck?] and then says "Nice......SUV"

This thread reminds me of the Syty Myths topic I started a while back. Trouble was, after it got a few pages deep, people were reading the "myths," not understanding the point of the topic, and were righteously "correcting" us about the misinformation we supposedly believed.

I once got...

them: "Oh, thats just an s-10 with the syclone trim package".

me: "Um, no sir, it is a much different beast than a standard s-10"

them: "no no, its a s-10 with the syclone trim package"

me: "Actually sir, the entire drive train and pretty much everything is quite diffent than a standard s-10"

them: "ya, but its still a s-10 with a syclone trim package"

me: "NO IT ISN'T, AND IF YOU NEW ANYTHING S-10'S ARE CHEVY NOT GMC"

them: Walking away "I know its just a syclone trim package".

I later got onto syty.org, this website and many others--printed 20 pages out of info and stapled them together and dropped it off in front of this jackass's office the next day. It was a glass shop, he was going to replace my window...

This guy lost my business real quick!

MTV should put out an episode for SYTY's and in the begining say "You think you know but you have no idea" to inform the mases!!

You got to admit its kinda annoying when you've got such a sweet ride and no one has a clue! Kinda cool too!!
