Do you "come to this site" by just going to www.syty.net. Or do you have the forums page bookmarked or something? What OS are you using?

There is one EASY way to not get the popups...

I don't get one while coming to this site, but everytime I open a new window of IE I get 3 instead 2 of which are advertisements...downloading spybot now

Just downloaded and installed spybot....found it kind of humorous that one of the install options is "Icons for Blind People"....kinda defeats the purpose of icons if your blind doesn't it?

IMO spybot is a killer good application to get rid of crap.

no I dont have ANY other apps running.

I can reboot my machine. open IE and soon as this page comes open (it's my homepage) then popup hits. are the ppl controlling this board sellin popups? what's the deal?

this board has no popups. you have gotten some sort of adware installed on your computer....basically an advertisement virus. It really has nothing to do w/ the site.

you do get them when other places than this site, right?

What Renz said above. Your computer caught a cold from a site you went to or even possibly from a cracker that cracked your computer and put it there (Least likely)

This site has nothing to do with it.
