widest tire on stock rim

anyone know what size I can go for a stock syty wheel. I would like to get a nice beefy looking tire.:tup:

Stock rims are 8" wide. Most tires will show how narrow/wide they can be mounted on.

i wouldn't really go past 255... any more than that and you're gonna get some lateral slop in your handling.

x2...I bought my Ty from the first owner and she had 255's on it. I was all over the road and I went back to stock tires when I replaced the tires. Not so much side-to-side in road grooves anymore now. :tup:

that's fine on the track when you're going in a straight line... autocross, windy roads, or even a sharp freeway on ramp and it's gonna handle like shit. If you want wide tires, get wide rims.
