Will 94+ front lower control arm fit a Sy/Ty???

I was looking at the lower, front control arm on a 01 ZR2 S-10. The anti-sway bar is attached with conventional endlinks, unlike our bayonet style attaching points. Will these A-arms and sway bar fit my fit my Syclone? I want a larger sway bar. Addco makes a HUGE 1 1/2" front sway bar that fits the 94-03 4x4 trucks. Could I swap in the later A-arms and the Addco sway bar? I already have the ST rear bar and the trucks still has too much sway for me. TIA!

Large sway bars cover up other suspension problems. IMO.

The stock suspension, and torsion bar leave a lot to be desire in terms of performance handling.

Not trying to blow my own horn, but there is a huge difference using same sway bar and coilover with some decent springs/shocks.

I can't answer your original question though as I am not sure if the new stuff is the same. I know it is similar.

search for posts by tloof. i'm pretty sure he said they were the same. i have a set of 98+ upper and lower arms with swaybar sitting in the garage. haven't taken the stockers off yet to see if they match, but i'm pretty sure they will work.

like you said, the stock syty sway bar will not work with those arms though.

I would love to have a new coilover suspension, but I'll never be able to afford it. I'm hoping to just rid myself of some of the sway. IMHO, are stock sway bars are crap. They have a decent 1 1/4" diameter, but then they neck down to 7/8" on the last 6"s or so on the ends. A 1 1/2" bar would be an impressive improvement.

And I spoke to a GMC dealer today on the phone. I was advised that he shows the same part number for the 94-01 4x4 lower A-arms. What is the difference with the 02-03 arms? I don't know and neither did he. So I going to need to do some junkyard searching.

The last 6" necking down doesn't change the torsional stiffness, only the center section does. Granted if the ends were small enough they would bend upwards, but that is not the case with our stockers.

Granted bigger dia. will have more stiffness, but that is because of the center section, not the ends.
