No it won't be the right one for the truck. Turbo converters are different than your standard 700r4 converter as far as I know.

It'll be fine... 2400 stall will work well with a stock turbo.

It's not gonna be a lot stronger than the stock one, TC clutch -wise. It'll work fine in a stocker, though.

Big trans cooler is a must with a converter.

While it's possible that you have a bad converter, I'd have to wonder what makes you think that...

well i bought a 92 ty and it was making a knocking noise in nuetral but put it in gear and it goes away and all gears work perfectly . the guy i bought it from said he and 2 others looked at it and thats what they thought , and it sounded like it to me .. i have not picked the truck up yet to inspect it but im gonna buy a converter anyway .

I would not mess with a truck with a "knock" unless you're absolutely certain of what it is. The only way I've heard a converter knock is when the bolts are falling out if it. Other than that maybe a cracked flex plate. Beyond that you are looking into some serious $$$ for a knock.

than buy a propshaft, new engine feulpump. sparks/plugs cap rotor transmission etc.
don't be stupid, don't buy stuff you don't need before inspection because you will go broke with your truck. BROKE i tell you, did i say BROKE??

drop the inspection plate and listen too it or just take a look before you buy any crap you don't need!

easy guys dont scare him off already,he bought my ty I had for sale,he is aware of what he is getting into,It does sound and act like the converter is making the noise the engine and trans seem to work fine, but there is no way for sure to tell untill it is taken apart,as far as all the other things I have already done all that ,or it was done.again I can only assume that is what is wrong with it but can not tell untill its taken apart.

Given the above, I'd check the flexplate bolts before buying a converter... it may well be as simple as that.

or unscrew the tc bolts and see if it's not in the engine.
