Will this work?

Ok, I am going to be removing the P.O.S. prompaq from the Sy next week and my plan was to put the stock boost solenoid back and the stock injectorsback in... but I have some questions for you guys who know...

First off, There is a member here with a ultimate chip/guage for sale and I was wondering if I could use that with the above set-up if I just have the chip re- programmed for my truck.
Or is that only for use with the 50# injectors? (I already have the 3 bar Map)


Second, I have heard that the stock boost solenoid needs to have the cat on to work properly, is this right?

And finally, should I or can I just pull the prompaq thingy and put the stock injectors back in, get a wideband and have a new chip programmed for my truck that will also allow me to use the manual boost controller?

Heres what I have now

1. 3 bar map
2. external turbonetics wastegate
3. MBC
4. downpipe>flowmaster>no cat
5. 42lb injectors
6. 20g turbo
7. EGR delete

I don't want to do a lot of programming and tuning right now, just want something fairly simple for now.

You can get an ultimate reprogrammed for the stock injectors.

You won't be able to control boost accurately with the solenoid and an external WG. It can be made to do it, but requires custom programming.

Put the stock injectors in, the stock chip, and set your external WG to 15 psi.
Simple as it gets.
