Will Zr1 Rims Fit With No Mods

I am looking at putting on a replica set of zr1 rims that are 17x9.5 and 17x11 offset +56mm and +50mm bolt pattern is 5x4.75 prices are $749 $829 and $999 for Silver, polished, and Chrome respectivly. I was curious if this set up would fit on my 92 typhoon without doing any mods to the brakes or anything for that matter. Will the wheels and tires stick out way to far making it look like a pregnant rollerskate or will look nice. And do the above prices sound fair? Anyone know where i can get some for less?

You'll need to cut some of the front axle stud off, it is too long to let the center caps snap in.

And your control arms may need some grinding so they dont rub, but everything will tuck under the truck nicely.

No Skateboard queer looking shit.
Reversed offsets are ultragay...

I just ordered the silver ZR1 rims off of Ebay. 17x9.5 and 17x11's with Sumitomo tires for $1139 plus shipping. I went with OE Wheel distributer rims. I did an Ebay search under "AFS" and "Corvette rims" and these seemed to be the best deal. I am sure the tires will not be the greatest but at least it's a start with some ZR1 rims. I can upgrade the tires later. I should have them within a week or so. Someone did a post last week and mentioned some quality issues with the AFS chrome rims so be careful.

I did nothing but bolt them on, no cutting, no chopping nothing.

There shouldn't be any fitment problems with true ZR1 rims. I'll look at home later and see if I can find the weights with drag radials. I know I weighed them before Tony bought them and burned half the rubber off last season. :p

Don's new truck #112 has em' They rub when you turn very sharp at all.
He hasn't had a chance to investigate why or what needs to be done to fix it. There is a possiblilty that this truck doesn't have the stock steering box though.

Yup, stock ride ht. I am planning on dropping it another 2".

The plate reads TYED UP. But 2 SMALL would fit also

I know it didn't turn out to well but i tried to get my kids in there for comparison purposes. Still get a kick everytime i walk up behind my truck 8) Yeah i rubs pretty bad when i turn very sharp, not sure how i am going to fix, thinking about putting stops rather than grinding on my truck. I don't think it's the steering box because other people have said it happens to them and theirs are stock boxes. I've kind of got a feel for how far i can turn now without rubbing so at least i'm not tearing up my rims anymore. I tell you what, those Z06 rims are really growing on me, saw a pic of a sy with them in chrome and OH MY GOD!!!!
