whats anyone doing to their trucks for this winter?

im hoping to upgrading the stock turbo to this innovative f2 58stage 5
link- i hope it will bolt to atr down pipe

and adding atr 3' external gate dp with atr waste gate/ no cat/ cut out and
prolly an 11/ kenne bell 3000 stall converter.
(this is pending on a deal.)

along with that some stereo kick panels upgrades
and the flexolite 2800cfm electric fan.

No offence...just an opinion here but if your going to spend the $2k web price on that turbo, it looks like a lot of money for a small turbo that requires a lot of expensive additional ex. components to install (different D/P, ext. gate, ???). Why not just go with a Waller, RPM bolt on up grade or a PTE 67? Rest of the plan looks good :tup: !

Because I know how much he's paying for it, and yes in most cases a garrett clone is not worth what ITS wants for it.

isnt cheap -
just not the internet price

that turbo is allot bigger than stock and will spool faster than the others because of duel bb.


already own the dp/ waste gate

im sure a big improvement over stock will be felt

My build is running into winter, so I'll consider it a winter project. If my builder ever gives me the specs I'll start buying.

Rebuild with ARP hardware, Vortec heads, cam, turbo pistons etc. RPM Stage 3 turbo, A2A intercooler, 3000 stall with built 700, and alky with an RPM chip. The truck is currently bone stock so I am going to do all the basic upgrades also, fuel pump etc, and a set of gauges and most likely a cowl hood if the GP happens. Hope to have a pretty mean street truck.

i know a guy in north crackalaca with the same problem

if its been too long pick up your motor and run

lots of builders that are quick turnaround shops with your interest at hand.

My winter project consist of Ostrich, PTE 72, custom headers (building myself), dp, vortec swap, 422, rockers, coilovers, brakes, etc.

Looking at 10's this spring.

Mine is just trying to survive for now. If I run into some money its going to be ALKY kit for me. I think Ill be happy after that, for a little while atleast.
