My hat goes off to Jason for building a truck that I hope performs as well as it looks. You gotta think that 1200+ hp in that chassis should be deep in the 7s. I could only imagine what the NATS would be like if everyone actually showed up.. I mean it seems every week there is a new record setting syty sufacing somewhere. Puts a smile on my face :lol:

who says you cant get into the 9's with vortec heads, and a stock block (not bowtie) small 4.3liter (i.e. small inches meaning not stroked) and a lil xtra weight to boot! ? :D

Right. But what gets my goat is some of these idiots don't even own a syclone or typhoon. But they are semi right. THIS truck still has a v6 turbo but not the awd so I would consider it a syclone, same as Tom Ferrick's Typhoon. Do WHATEVER YOU WANT TO YOUR TRUCK. Just makes my trucks more valuable. :D BTW AWESOME looking truck Marty!

Really, the chute is all you need to say. You don't put a 'chute on anything
you don't intend on being in the 8's or lower....

Nice ride. Good to see a few more "no compromises" trucks out there.

actually i keep hearing that its either now or next year you have to have a chute on anything going 135mph or higher. dont know if its true.

I am quoting instead of editing to clarify, in case my wording was misunderstood.

It walks the line of what MOST consider to by syty, in my opinion. If its sy vin numbered, its a Sy. I hope its a V6 as that is more true to the heritage of Syty. This however takes nothing away from Tydriver's LS1 AWD Ty or ?KGBpilot's? in the V8 AWD twin turbo truck.

In my opinion, it walks the line. I have no doubts it will be a bad to the bone truck, and I truely envy the owner. I sure wouldnt turn down a ride in it, regardless of Sy or S10.

I would have not have the same opinion were it a S10 V8 with Sy Cladding, that to me is not SYTY.

To the owner and builder. Impressive truck. You can bet I would be checking it out if I saw it at the track. I would take pictures until the camera died, and it would be wall paper on my home and work computer.

ed, the judge at e-town knew you, he said your out of your mind, and that you truck is insane.. all in a good way. :D

you catch his name or what did he look like, or how did he know me?

confident? who me? just have to wonder when you move low boost up 1 psi and you see it go 1 10th faster on shakedown runs when the dfi aint even dialed in yet. play with the numbers and you will see what i mean.

numbers hurt my head..

he was a older guy, grey hair, i guess he said he has either seen you run, or knows you, I wasn't really paying attention.. he wasn't saying anything bad about you. :D

Honestly I think you can go 9's and it was never my intention to say whether it could or couldn't be done. I enjoy watching you bust your ass to drop another .1, and when you post that you've climbed the ladder another spot i can only smile. You of all people know exactly how hard it is to push such a heavy brick down the track, so i'm glad there are some purists around who will do whatever it takes to keep it awd, turbo v6.

Tell Harry to go find another 100 + hp in your tuneup so you can go 9s.

my next door neighbor at my shop! lol

he does a lot of street rod stuff. small world.

oh and fwiw about him looking old. we are both the same age. :)

heh, he was a nice guy.. good thing you weren't there, i woulda claimed bias on the judging..

and for what its worth, he has more grey hair than you :D

The tailgate was hand made from a piece of flat sheet metal. If you think the pics look good you should see it in person.
