Guys,

Does anyone have any ideas on why my Sy will not go into open loop at WOT? It has the stock chip. According to scanner TPS is at 100% at WOT.

Thanks
Shannon

What is showing that it's in closed loop still?

In the Snap-on Scanner I was using, It has a table that shows either open loop or closed loop. When it is first cranked up it is in open loop. The when the truck warms up it goes into closed loop. The truck had a bad, bad breaking up problem over about 10 psi. I checked the FP and the fuel pump was going out so I replace it with Walbro. The O2 sensor readings were about 200-300mv at WOT also before and after fuel pump. Replaced the O2 sensor and this now O2 readings are normal. While diagnosis all of this, I noticed the scanner would stay in closed loop @ WOT. I fixed the breaking up problem while checking TDC, the timing was correct but when I was under the truck I found the ground wasn't connected that comes out of the harness and bolts to the head. That cured all of the breaking up problems. Is there a table on the scanner I can look at to see if the truck is actually going into open loop at WOT and the scanner not showing it? EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD RUNNING PROBLEMS CHECK THOSE GROUNDS! I was about to pull my fucking hair out until I found this. I thought that each thing I did would surely fix it. When I rebuilt the engine I guess I missed that ground.

Thanks
Shannon

The closed loop/open loop indicator isn't acurrate on those. See what the BLM/INT do at WOT for you..

when you hit WOT or PE mode you will see the INT go to 128...thats how you know.
So whenever you hit WOT the INT will go to 128 and stay there as long as you hold it at WOT? Sorry for all the questions.
