Wow, this is odd

This thread was locked by Renz earlier today: http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?p=631843#post631843. 3 hours later, Morgan responds publically to the same previously locked thread (?). I thought the purpose for locking a thread was to prevent any further input by anyone else because an administrator deemed the thread "unproductive and thus closed". It is very difficult to expect the members to play by the rules when the admin staff feels a degree of anonimity and does whatever they please. Doesn't lead by example carry any weight anymore? Just found this action very odd.......

A. Get your facts together or PM someone involved before making a public post about this.

B. I didnt even realize the thread was close until AFTER i had posted, infact I had to edit part of my post cause it made no sense being that the thread was already closed.

C. I had been directed to the thread by numerous people throughout the day both on IM and PM, but since I was at work, I was unable to reply.

D. since I was the one who edited Mikes initial thread, I thought it was only right for me to reply since Im the one who was involved.

E. go find someone else to stick your nose in. thanks.

F. making a thread about a topic that was closed somewhere is NO DIFFERENT than doing what I did, except I had a reason and you dont.

Re: Wow, this is odd

as an administrator its not as obvious that a thread is locked and you can reply normally. He probably just didn't realize it was locked....or felt that he should respond to silly's post since he didn't have a chance to before i locked it.

I agree that its important for the admins to reply when asked to...especially on this topic.

But hey...thanks for dumping some more fuel on the fire and trying to call us out for not handling things properly.

After being on this board a little longer than you. I can attest to the fact that morgan always justifys his editing a post. It looks like silly ran it by phoonty and he oK'ed it, but morgan nixed the post Explanation was needed.

Move on, no issue here.:2cents:

Mike, I just found it peculiar and odd that you lock a thread and a regular member can't respond to it, yet another person with admin rights can disregard the ruling and publically respond. He could have PM'd his input after the fact. I did not realize another administrator cannot see when a thread is locked so that clears it up. I thought you all see the same thing we see and the way I was raised, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Since you obviously don't see the same screen we see, it doesn't appear odd to me now

That WAS nice too!

I actually pm'd morgan about the very topic of this thread so no use in getting into it again.

Now someone get Morgan a beer on this throne!
