So I get off work tonight and hit the gas station on the way home. After the gas station, I'm on my home and I see a familiar looking WRX. There's a kid that goes to my highschool that has a bright yellow WRX with euro plates on the front so I recognized it right away.
Anyways, we are at a light and he kinda gets on it off the light, but I still have no traction yet so I get wheel spin like a mother then we had to slow down for the next light. So we are both sitting at the light again. Light turns green, he launches it pretty well and I just lightly press the gas till I get up to about 30 then ease it to the floor. Since I don't have any traction and can't launch the truck he got probably 4 cars or so on me. At about 35-40 I start reeling him in quick. At around 55 I go flying past him and took it up to about 85. By this time he is back there pretty far. I'd probably say around 8 car lengths or so, kinda hard to tell but his headlights were pretty tiny. I slowed down hoping he would get up next to me at the next light, but he turned off into a nieghborhood.
I know it wasn't an STi and I probably wouldn't even have posted this race except for the fact that this kid is cocky and an ass. You can just tell he thinks he drives the fastest, coolest thing at my highschool. It felt damn good to show him otherwise, especially in an old pick up truck. Although I will admit, I am jealous of how badass his blow off valve sounded when he shifted, too bad I only heard it as I was flyiing by him. :rotf:
