Re: WTB: 22533547 coolant level module
I know that module was used in other makes and models than just the Corvette. I did a quick search and came up with this info from another site. I don't know how accurate it is, nor do I know WHERE the module is going to be located in these models. It's not easy to find even in a Corvette where I know where it is. But might be useful info when junk yarding.
And before you go through flaming hoops locating a module, another thing to check is the resistance of the probe in the lower CCHE to ground. (Engine block). I've found a couple of probes where the end has corroded off, and it won't activate the module properly.
Level too Low = 50K Ohms and above.
Level OK = 10K Ohms and below.
So you should have <10,000 Ohms to ground with the IC system full. If you don't the module will turn on the light.
I suspect the probe is the same as the one used in the cars below. I also think this set up was used in F-car, although not listed below. But either is the Corvette, and I know it was used in Y-car from 86-89. I owned an 88 Corvette at the time I wrote the original article, that's how I knew about it.
