WTB propshaft boot

I am looking for a boot for the propshaft on my truck, it has a small tear in it and I would like to replace it right away. I have called the parts stores and they dont have one, they said try the dealer, but they want to sell the whole propshaft- imagine that:rant:. I searched here and everything I found on the boots were older posts. I seen where Captain Morgan said NAPA sold them, I tried and no luck there either. Just wondering if you need a part# to get one at NAPA. I know the previous owner put a HD propshaft in the truck before I purhased it, but don't believe its a Gilbert because I read they carry no boot.

Any advice would be greatly appriciated, thanks in advance!

Boot is not a separate item I believe it is all or none. Maybe you could find a local drive shaft shop that could help you out.

Contact Morgan I couldn't find one at my local NAPA but he could get them in NJ at NAPA, you can also go to NAPA.com they were on there. I don't have the part# right now but in a few days when I get back home I can give it to you if you like.

Looked on NAPA's website and found the kit. It sells for about $45, I found out that a company in Greenwood Mississippi makes them. The part number for this is 6862293, in case anybody wants to know. Thanks again guys!

damn, price has gone up a bit, I think they were like $21 or something when I bought them, Ill have to stop in and check tomorrow. ;)
