Re: WTB Rear disc brake kit

I have most of a disc brake kit off of a 2003 s10 pick up

Calipers
Caliper brackets
backing plate/caliper mounting bracket

what you will need

Rotors
Pads
Parking brake shoes
and parking brake hardware

I can also get you the rest of the parts you need i will have to price it out but i have a shop so i can get good parts at cost

Re: WTB Rear disc brake kit

your best bet is to buy new rotors local since they are cheaper to buy than to ship being so heavy, same with pads, and parking brake shoes aren't hard to come by.

as for parking brake hardware, the s10 disc came with ebrake brackets as part of the backing plates so no worries there, but the cable issue has not been taken care of yet, atleast for majority of people.

i have a suspicion i can resolve the parking brake cable issue, when i get some time to tackle it

How much for,

Calipers
Caliper brackets
backing plate/caliper mounting bracket

Where are ytou located?
You know you need spacers to put between the caliper brackets and the rear end mount, if you're putting the S10 rear discs on a drum brake rear

what spacers are you referring to? i never needed spacers in any of the ones i've done

as far as i've found the cables will not interchange between old s10 and new, the ones from a new 2dr blazer are still longer than ty ones, and have the wrong ends.

unless you've found some style that i have not?

the cables are the stock 03 s10 disc brake cables but it is not very hard to make them work would only take you about an hour to make them work with some basic tools. and a trip to the parts store

There is a quarter inch differance in the distance from the axle mounting flange for the backing plate or caliper support and the axle mounting surface where the drum or disc mounts, between the drum brake rears and the disc brake rears. You need to make a spacer to move the caliper bracket out a quarter of an inch..
