I found an LV in vegas new unworn for 4500. I would say that is a deal. So it would be green not black or blue... The green is great in my opinion.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

Anyone I've ever known that has had a Rolo has hated it because it doesn't keep time at all. A former manager had one - it lost 10 minutes a month.

If its that bad they should get it serviced. Seems people want them but don't keep them maintained.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

My rolex loses 3 minutes a month, I dont use it and wont sell it however, since it was an inheritance from my grandfather... but what a beautiful watch. Had it appraised to make sure it wasnt a replica. After that I think i'll keep it in the box from now on lol I had no idea.

Why ddont you just get a good replica if all ur doing is trying to look good, U never know what happens when u take them outside. I figure to only buy a real one if ur looking for an investment.

They even sell a replica of mine, I can only see one or two subtle differences that probably 1 out of 1,000 people you come accross would notice... Of course, you wont get the box with certificates and paperwork and that red seal, but no one asks you to see the box....

Not always I have some real nice fakes but a good eye can tell also the weight is a good tell tale sign, real ones are heavy

Anyone else have an Acutron? I inherited a non-working one from my grandfather. Ran off an internal tuning fork of some sort. Supposedly it's pretty rare, and super hard to get serviced.

I have a couple fake Rolex's that keep pretty good time. Not sure how much time they lose or don't lose, but they look nice, and keep time for the 10 days a year or so I wear them.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

there are many fakes that sweep.the swiss ones are very hard to tell, quick way is the glass over the date to see if it magnafies the date. Also a few other ways.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

idk the one i posted up there looks pretty damn good to me, the only differences with mine are the size of the settings for the stones and something seems different about the bezel trim. Also idk about the replicas having the need to unscrew the adjustment rather than popping it out...still not for sale though, he'd roll over in his grave...

Tell you what I have a gold Juvenia for sale, El Macho... 6,500 bones takes it solid 18k gold

Look it up its a good deal... theres an ugly one on ebay without the interesting face for 6,000. The picture i took sucks but its a very impressive watch, turns heads everywhere.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

My Gucci watch stayed solid on the time for 5 years, but the date would need adjustment ... thats because of the days in the month I think.

The battery JUST died after 5 years too ---

Must have been quartz. There is a difference between a quartz movement and a winding movement. Quartz is great for keeping time. I have a Movada Quartz and many Seiko's that all keep excellent time. My Rolex's stay fairly accurate. My latest movement with the 3135 is almost quartz like for time keeping where the 3035's are off + or - 2 to 4 seconds over 24 hours.

If you want great quality buy a Swiss Quartz it wont let you down and it will keep a decent resale value.

Re: wtb rolex sub blue or black

Its real easy to tell a real from a fake. One is to open the case back. Look up the 3035 and 3135 images on google. To compaire. If the whole movement is gold in color then I doubt it is real also it will have two purpleish colored gears. The self winder will have slots in it as well.

The other way is to take the band off. If the model number and serial number are stamped on the case then it more likely to be real. If they are laser etched on then it is probably fake. The band itself is not a dead give away due to people replace them over time and do not always go with an authentic band do to cost.
