Like the title says I need a steering shaft to go along with my quick ratio steering box...I had the jeep one and it broke while getting pushed out of the shop. Glad I wasn't driving!

Re: Wtb: upgraded steering shaft

I'd like to know the details of this failure, please. What "broke"? Why do you think it broke?
I'm not really sure my friend said they we're pushing the truck out of the shop and all the sudden the steering wheel just started turning and the wheels didn't. I will try to get pics next time I'm there. I can see how the powering steering not being in use would stress out the shaft more but it still shouldn't break....

Re: Wtb: upgraded steering shaft

Maybe it just fell off at the colum.....which is exactly why I recomend to drill a hole and run a bolt through the shaft like a stock one would.....

Re: Wtb: upgraded steering shaft

Kind of off topic, but how hard should it be to compress the slip fitting of a steering shaft? I have one from years ago that has always been locked/never been able to compress. I also just purchased another to solve this problem. Well I tried to compress it by putting all my weight on it strait up from the floor, didn't move at all.... What gives?
