LOL (yeah, right TY166)
I sent them back, and I will be VERY surprised if I get a refund.
I never believed that Jorg. made them, either....everybody would have complained about the craftmanship, otherwise - that was just "the story" of the week.....

Why don't you guys just follow up and finish this already? If you are worried there will be no solution for cables or brackets and you feel like you HAVE to use HRV6, then you are mistaken. Too many talented people on here. Get your money back and go get what you need.

Warmpancakes has offered to step in and do the cables and Mike Renz can make ANYTHING that can be cut and bent. Get your money back and MOVE ON!!!

I have sent a demand for refund.........
We'll see how that works.
I'm for Renz's brackets & they will use the *stock* cables I believe.

Yep. To reiterate, Ken said he knows a guy that can do the cables. But Mike Renz is the Ace when it comes to having stuff lazer cut or waterjetted.

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

it was my intention to wait for everyone on this group buy to get their stuff. I didn't want to piss anyone off that already has $ in limbo. MRKING and I have been looking into ways to use either the stock cables, or stock cables w/ a different end on them, or another method.

I had found a company that makes the same (i think) brackets that everyone here is waiting for...i'll see if i can find the link again - for some reason it escapes me right now. Otherwise, i'm up for making brackets for the ls1 rear discs....but i'm not going to step on this group buy to do it, nor am i going to make them FOR hrv6 unless he pays up front.

My intent was merely to let these guys know that there are other VERY talented connected people on here that can get them what they need. I didn't mean for it to sound like Mike Renz would jet them for free. He won't. But he can (and it sounds like they are possibly made already)do them. Ken is the same way. Upstanding guy that can hook you up with the cables if you want him to. But neither will do them for free to make up for what HRV6 has done (or not done).
Basically, you don't need him to get these done. Does that make sense?

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

ok refound the website that has brackets. These looks like they'll work w/ the cables that are supposedly in hrv6's possession.

sorry for the small pics, but i don't own these brackets. If hrv6 would ship out a cable set to someone, we could test this bracket w/ the cable.

As for the price of this bracket set....I'm not sure of exact price, becuase i'm not sure which bracket this actually is (the website is pretty vague...you have to know what car its for). They are EXPENSIVE though....somewhere between $12 and $24 i believe

If someone could make a clevis end with a set screw setup, you could cut your stock cable and put one on the end . As far as brackets go .. $3 worth of angle iron no matter how good its cut and welded , in the end , is still only just that .

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

You didn't actually think just because he posted pictures of a stack of cables that anything would get shipped did you?

I am willing to bet there is some kind of hold up on the brackets now.
Or you could assume he never even started on them since there has been ZERO mention of brackets with all the side show of the cables.

It should be coming up on his 2 week excuse post period.

This thread is amazing to watch from the view of an uninvolved person.

Wow... I was going to order one but figured $200 is more than I want to spend. I rather use a wheel chock for free. lol

I have no idea. I have a Typhoon so therefore I never get to drive it, just work on it. It sits in the garage. Sometimes I get to take it off the jackstands and set it back on the tires... when I do that I can use a wheel chock.

I figure that if it ever ran long enough to drive it, The motor would blow before the brakes went. lol

Another month has passed since you wrote this.
It may not be your intensions of ripping ANYBODY off, but you are only lying to yourself.

Its been 214 days since you cashed my check.

well despite what everyone thinks, ive been trying to get these done since the begininning, and NEVER had any intention of ripping ANYBODY off, but i myself dont like paying for parts and then having to wait forever to get them, and fully understand everybodys frustration.

And also just to clear the air about how much i have collected in sold brake kits, i have sold 13 kits, 7 to fellow syty.net members and 6 to s-seriesforum.com members, 8 1st gen kits and 5 2nd gen kits, and two of the kits were sold to close freinds at a discount.

Also after these first orders are done im not going away, and will have these kits in stock and will not accept payment for any kit be it the volvo fan kits or the ebrake kits, or some other projects im working on until i have them ready to ship out, its just not fair to the purchaser to do it any other way.
