    Las Vegas area information

Re: Las Vegas area information Most of the wicked engine shops are down by the track. As far as parts go, there's National Performance on Charleston. I usually just order from Summit because the prices are about the same. Welcome to Vegas!

    Black Ty in Las Vegas

So I was going to work today at about 7 AM. I was going on the 215 N on ramp when I look out my rear view mirror and I see a clean black Ty on stock wheels and it had a spoiler. He was heading south on Town Center. I thought I saw one in the Summerlin area about a year ago and this one kind...

New Ty Idles at 2,000 rpm... Suggestions and Help please...

Re: New Ty Idles at 2,000 rpm... Suggestions and Help please... It's probably your TB linkage. Mine was too tight and caused my car to idle at about 2 grand as well. Play with the throttle a little bit and see if the rpm's come down.

    Gauges 4 My Ty

I'm looking at gauges and gauge pods for my Ty. It looks like I'm going to get a 2 gauge pod. What 2 gauges do you guys recommend? I'm thinking Boost and Fuel Pressure. I'm pretty sure I need a mechanical Boost gauge, but what about the Fuel Pressure? Should I get a mechanical or electric...

Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start!

Re: Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start! OK, I get it. That's definately a possibility. If that's the problem how do I reset the dist? Also, does anybody reuse that vacuum module that goes on the stock turbo? My turbo doesn't have anywhere to hook it up to.

Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start!

Re: Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start! The distributor cap is on correctly. It is seated nicely on top of the distributor. You can't even screw it down when it's installed backwards. I checked the firing order like 3 times because that's what I thought it was...

Re: Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start! I thought a backfire means not enough fuel. Yes, the plug wires and chip are on right.

Just installed aftermarket parts and now the car won't start!

Over the past 6 months I've been working on my Ty every here and there. I finally finished it, or so I thought, and now the car won't start. Here's a list of what I installed: PTE 51 Turbo kit 50# injectors AFPR 3 bar map Chip from Detroit Turbo Full Tune Up (plugs, wires, cap & rotor)...

Question about connecting the fuel rail to injectors

Re: Question about connecting the fuel rail to injectors Cool, I'll try taking off the upper intake today and see what happens. The fuel rail doesn't seem to be hitting the intake, but I'm so frustrated I'll try anything right now. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanx for the help guys.

Question about connecting the fuel rail to injectors

I'm trying to install my new 50 # injectors from RPM and I'm having a hell of a time. I can't seem to get the fuel rail bolted down. The injectors are clicked into place and the caps on the fuel rail match up nicely to the injectors. I just can't get the fuel rail down far enough to bolt it...

    Las Vegas ???

Re: Las Vegas ??? More than likely I'll be there. As for my Ty, that's in God's hands. My friend's Sy is on blocks right now so you probably won't see his car there. If your Ty is running halfway descent you should be able to beat that guy. We live on the southwest side of Vegas.

    Las Vegas ???

Re: Las Vegas ??? I live in Vegas and I'm always down to meet fellow SyTyers. I just started messing with my Typhoon. New turbo, injectors, chip, and tune-up. It's a bitch, but it's gonna be worth it. My buddy has a Syclone that he takes to the strip sometimes. Maybe he's the one you're...

Need someone in Vegas to install new turbo kit

I have a 92 Typhoon that I recently bought a crap load of parts for. Only problem is that my job takes up so much of my time that I don't think I will ever be able to install these parts myself. Is there anybody in the Las Vegas area who has experience doing this stuff? If so how much...
