Got pulled over tonight and after being harassed, i got a smog ticket for my k and n air filter

any how to make a long story short, i need to go to the ref and the thing that will fail me is the air filter setup :(

Anyone have a whole stock turbo air intake setup

Ideally would just borrow it for the smog ref ticket i got,

i need

orange elbow and tubing and stock air box?

not quite sure what is needed.

thanks

I'll let you borrow mine. Pick it up in SF during the weekend. I'm all over the bay during weekdays.

Damn, that sucks. Why did they pull you over? They're going to have a field day if I ever get pulled over with what's going under my hood.

Wow, so they pull people over just for having pod gauges now!? That's just wrong. I've been pulled over in my Syclone and the cop just let me know with a warning. He even saw the gauges and gave me compliments about the truck. I guess I got lucky. I'm thinking I'll just be driving my truck on weekends from now on...damn.

You're gonna have to remove it anyway. Pull it and take a look. Might be quicker to have it machined. Or maybe there's a broken bolt. When it goes back on and the bolts don't lineup they make a "spreader" to force the manifold. Never used one myself though.

When you go back to the smog shop get them to put the machine on "manual." That way each retest doesn't go to Sac. If they won't do it find one that will. Mine did it about 6 times for free but he owns a Buick GN, liked my truck and I bought him dinner when it finally did pass.;)

Thanks for the ideas Don. I still got this Fuel pressure regulator of yours still on and its working great!!!!

I have an appointment tomorrow AGAIN 8am to have it tested.
It failed because of the exhaust leak and because of the autometer narrow band AFR gauge  Apparently they are NOT legal

I got a new gasket on the passenger side. I was able to unbolt the 6 bolts and found that one was missing (hence the leak) and used a pry bar was able to change the gaskets with everything still mounted on place!!!!!

I just took off the intercooler/intake and the inner fender/tire and it was sooooooooo easy!

truck is stock and quiet now.

Then this weekend i get to put my fun stuff back on YAY!

So hope i pass tomorrow should, i passed on monday, minus the exhaust leak :(
