The ATR is still 2-bar (like all the "big name" aftermarket chips), and thus can't see any more than 14.7psi. The ATR is tuned to be a bit rich, so that the extra air from higher boost has some extra fuel to compensate. But it still has no clue if you're at 14.8psi or 20psi (everything above 14.7psi looks the same to the sensor). The ATR also uses open loop boost control. It tells the wastegate to go to a certain percentage, and that's it. It doesn't raise or lower boost to try to hit a target that the chip is requesting, it just goes to __% and stays there. You tweak your wastegate arm to get __% to match up with __psi.wannasy said:right now i think im making too much boost for the stock chip.
