It was actually very easy, the stereo i bought was only 41/2" deep so i did not have to alter anything, all the other stereos i looked at required heating and crushing the duct work which was not an option for me.

I had one of the double d bezels modded for my vette and it was awesome. I like they way that one looks. I may look into doing that. I was going to go with an older radio but the more I look into it the more I like the functions of a newer radio

It is an Alpine ilx-007 it has bluetooth ,wifi, backup camera and it works great with my iPhone -6 i plug it into the usb port and it shows all the songs in alphabetical order on the touch screen. It was pricey but it was worth every penny.
