Look into Mambatek , Kinugawa or Precision. Those are the least expensive bolt-on alternatives with warranty. Everybody else wants the same amount a long blocks costs for a turbo I had my stocker rebuilt with kinugawa parts. I got over 4K miles on it on stock boost and it still boosts nicely.

Here is where Im at ...
the Mamba stuff that I have had in my hands look to be well made but they are only offering the SL2 turbine wheel. I cant find much information about that wheel on big 6 and its smaller than the standard TD06 wheel. Maybe it flows more being that it has 9 blades.. I dont know
I like the Kinugawa TD06H 60-1 with the 10cm housing.....I dont like the wastegate setup on it ... looks crappy... I know it works but is looks wonky and I cant chage the springs in the gate. Anyone running the Kinugawa gate on the factory boost control solinoid?
and that leaves the Precision 5858 ...do want, great turbo ... perfect size too .... do not want to put a gate on the crossover. Dont want to hear an open gate at WOT
stock turbo needs a new turbine ... the shaft is under spec and it also needs a new housing. I have a billet 17c wheel for it ...if i was smart I would just put that back together. $280 in parts from Kinugawa .... I would be pissed if I put it together and it gave me issues. I like reliability.

If you rebuild it, find a local shop to do it for you. That's what I did. Beats spending over a grand if I mainly just cruise this thing and romp on it occasionally. From what I've read, one can hit 12s running higher boost on the stocker. E85 injectors, chip, fuel pump and 22psi should do it. I've kept stock boost levels for reliability. I've been enjoying my truck for a few issue free years. Like going to the barn and driving it out when I feel like it.
