im almost ready to give up guys i need help

My ty wont start now. It started when it would heat up then die out when i would come to a light then not start for about 30 mins. That went on for a while so i changed the ignition module, the the coil,iac, cap and rotor. And the same thing happens it heats up then dies out and wont spark, some sugestion would help anything you guys think it could be tell me cuz im about to take it to a shop if i cant get it runnung myself.

We already told you what to do. You just have to do it. I told you not to start throwing parts at it cause its a waste of money. Live and learn I guess.

Not a bad idea. I had that problem years ago when I first got my TY.

Hes in CA. Ive tried several times to get him to get DM and a fuel pressure test gauge to atleast try and see whats happening but hes looking for the magic diagnosis that isnt there.

thats what i suggested.my truck acted the same way and it was the ecu.


go right ahead and take it to a shop and see what happens :roll:

Check fuel pressure and change out the pickup coil in the distributor.

could be a combo of things also.

do the above things first and if you get it to stay running, but turn it off and now cant get it to spark, starter problem.

Previous experience - I couldnt get it to turn over after the truck was warmed up b/c the starter was being heat-soaked. I had to wait 30mins before it would crank. If you get to this point and this is your issue -

Change the purple wire - link
Get a new starter (make sure its fixed the first time, dont wanna be changin it later)
Check the connections/ends of the wires going to the starter (could be corroded)
heat-wrap the wires going to the starter and the starter itself
Double check your grounds!

This is probably worst case scenario, the problem most likely lies in the above posts

well i feel dumb i took it to the shop and they ran diagnostics and didnt find nothing. I took it home and it ran fine for a day and now its doin the exact same thing. I wanna keep this truck its killing me.

Might wanna hookup with someone in your area who has a clue of what they are doing.
