I was there in October, and he almost hit me on the strip..... ratted out truck with zebra print seats..... running on maybe 4 cylinders. I hope this wasn't you. He took off like at bat out of hell going across the strip, and looked at me like I was an ass for looking at his truck.

Well, right now the only event coming up that i plan to make is Jan.27th. Thats when the drag strip opens back up for Midnight Mayhem. I usually go to them, but always get sick of being there... too much trashy, loud, riced out garbage. But there is always the occasional car worth seeing. I heard rumor of a Syclone that goes out there, and have seen a couple GN's. But its mostly high school kids and their Hondas.KIER24601 said:

Im out there from time to time. Was there earlier in the month for a week. Thought it would be fun to spend $200 on gas.

I live in Vegas and I'm always down to meet fellow SyTyers. I just started messing with my Typhoon. New turbo, injectors, chip, and tune-up. It's a bitch, but it's gonna be worth it. My buddy has a Syclone that he takes to the strip sometimes. Maybe he's the one you're talking about.

What part of town do yall live in? I'm north LV area off Craig Rd.
Are you guys going to the first Midnight Mayham of the year, Jan 27th ? I'm going, got to get some base line numbers before i start upgrading. Plus i've got a bet going with a guy at work. He thinks he can beat me with his '97 Cobra but the best time he's ever had was 14.4, so if he still drives that bad then it should be a close run. More than likely I'll be there. As for my Ty, that's in God's hands. My friend's Sy is on blocks right now so you probably won't see his car there. If your Ty is running halfway descent you should be able to beat that guy. We live on the southwest side of Vegas.

Sweet, I'm taking time off from work just to make sure i can go. I normally work nights, and most race nights i get stuck and get go home till nearly 3am. So i wanted to make sure there would be nothen to keep me from going.
I've never raced my Ty either, i've raced hunderds of times, just not in the Ty. Normally my 3000GT, which would normally run a mid 13 but do to bald tires and a clutch that cant hold the power after 4500rpm in full boost, the best i can muster out now a days is high 14's.
One other note... If you locals start upgrading any of your already upgraded parts and want to sell the old ones, keep me in mind... Please
