He will have plenty of time in jail if people decide to press charges.. theft across state lines is a federal crime, there is no parole from federal prison if he can't pay up.
being unemployeed my guess is the guy has stolen everyones money and spent it on other things since he hasn't bought the parts he owes everyone and he hasn't issued a refund to anyone.
If he had an income they could garnish his wages and tax returns to pay back what he owes with no source of income my guess is he will most likely get jail time and be forced to payback what he owes in payments after he gets out.
I'd go ahead and contact the D.A in the city he lives in to start the process if he was going to make good on this deal he would have done so already there's not a chance in hell it takes 5 months to get parts from someone unless you havn't got the money to pay for them.
I'd also keep posting for updates on any site he is known to visit to make sure everyone involved knows the full details since the more people you have pressing charges the better off things are for you and the worse things will get for him.
This guy has to be crazy to think he can steal thousands of dollars from dozens of people and get away with it. The legal fees alone will eat this guy alive

As mentioned this GP has gone on way too long and there is no excuse why the people who only ordered brackets have not received their kits.

As a site admin I am recommending to all victims of this GP to report the case to the Local Police Department (Humble Texas) and contact the district attorney in Mike's home town of Humble, TX.
We are leaving this thread open so that Mike can provide details as to when kits are shipping.
Any other GPs or classifieds threads by HotRod V6 will be closed and / or moved out of public view until this matter is resolved 100%.

Mike we need to hear something from you on this soon.
All I can recommend is that anyone who is owed money or product contact the Humble Texas PD at (281)446-7127 and file a report.
Then contact the USPS and file one with them as well.
Also contact your credit card company and paypal (or however you paid) as soon as possible.
If Mike does not want to try and resolve this then by all means take all appropriate legal actions.

I wish there was a way that everyone involved could be notified. Ebay has a thing called safe haven. It would be nice so that everyone that pays in on a GP gets their email and screen name saved in something like a "database". Then if something like this happens an "urgent attention" email can be mass distributed so they could come here and see what the heck is going on. At this point it's appearing as though he spent their money on something else and won't communicate. HRv6, please do something. It would be a start to begin giving a few people their money back and work it off. Each person could post up when they got their money back. Right now we don't even have a full list of everyone taken on this ride.

Other sellers who have ran GPs post the full customer list and what was ordered.
mike was not so organized so the master list of who was taken is either in his PMs or private email.
That's why I am asking anyone with money involved to post their details.
The Humble Police will more than likely be looking at this thread since this is where the sale originated so they recommended everyone publicly post their orders and request an immediate status from Mike to show that he is being negligent.
Every buyer needs to call the Humble Texas police department and file a report.
Some have already begun filing USPS mail fraud reports but the police will act much faster and I am willing to bet after the detectives visit his home and workplace he will begin filling orders or refunding money rather quickly.

I really believe that's the problem. He's sitting behind the keyboard and doesn't realize this is real. Just because it's in another state and they've never met you doesn't mean you can just ignore them. Hopefully the police/detectives meet up with him soon. what I'm gonna do on my GP is generate invoices for everyone. Then post up invoice numbers and stage of completion,shipping, etc. Each person will have an emailed invoice to them that they can compare and see where they are at. It's the safest way I can figure to do it considering what happened to me.

I talked to the guy that is making the cables, and the ones i had before and sent back to have them fix will be here monday, he said look at them and if they are right he is ready to make me 30 more, but wants to make sure everything is right before, so the other 30 should be shipped by the end of next week and we can finally get this wrapped up.

So when did all the stuff ship? How about the guys that just ordered brackets, did theirs ship? You've said this stuff over and over again. You realize it doesn't mean anything anymore. Until these people have their stuff in their hands, you are still gonna have problems.
