Subject: your syty products

Hello, I'm FirstGenZq8 from syty.net. I'm interested in just about all of your products. instead of a syty, i have a 1992 s10 w/ LT1 and T56.

i'm currently redoing my interior. i'm replacing the carpet with an aftermarket companies black s10 carpet.

i'd like to get a pair of your lloyds mats for the front. black w/ gray piping for contrast (picture the stock black dash with the gray AC vent surrounds). heal guard (10.5" x 6.5") w/ GM Performance Emblem. since my truck is a 6 speed can the heel guard be placed a little more to the left and closer to the clutch pedal than it is pictured? i'd like for the text to say "LT1" in the same gray as the piping. you can use the attached pic for the "LT1" type font.

i'd also like the lloyd clear plastic mats for my s10.

another thing is my wife just got a 09 toyota highlander. it came stock w/ decent mats, almost as good as lloyd quality, but she wants some of the lloyd clear plastic mats for her car too.

i'd also like to buy your lightweight battery mount and integrated charger.

does the syty.net coupon code of 1163546129 still work for a 25% discount?

so, in conclusion LOL, i need the following:

1 - pair of front lloyd mats, black w/ gray piping, heel guard w/ GM performance emblem, LT1 text in the same gray as the piping
1 - pair of front lloyd clear plastic mats - 1992 s10 regular cab short bed
1 - pair of front lloyd clear plastic mats - 2009 toyota highlander
1 - lightweight battery mount and integrated charger
1 - odyssey battery

let me know if you want me to buy from your website or not. i would have but it doesn't list your battery mount yet. do you take paypal? thank you, joe

Hi Joe,

I will work up a cost on the mats + heel guard and send a PayPal payment request. We cannot do 25% off on the floor mats as that is even below my cost on them (there is no margin on Lloyd's products). I think I can do about 15% discount on them, it will be cheaper than you can find anywhere else.

I can also work up a cost on the battery, mount and charger as well. The battery design I can have complete within a week and machined up the following week (this is inspiration to get it done!).

Thank you,
Anthony Hensley

sweet, i will be the first person on syty.net to get one?! i'm telling you those things will sell like hotcakes. i meant to email you again over the weekend; instead of my mats saying "LT1" can we just go w/ "GMC"; one of these days i might go LSx in there and my mats would be wrong. Joe

Hi Joe, Complicated order... here we go:

1. Go ahead and order the heel guard here (http://www.autovationparts.com/store/page154.html) using coupon code 1163546129 for a 25% discount. This will ship in the next 5-7 days once put in the production queue.

2. Which GMC logo do you want on your floor mats (http://www.lloydmats.com/logos_gm.htm)? Would you like 826003 or 883001? The cost of the mat is $94.

3. What is your zip code? I will also need to work up shipping for the floor mats.

4. For the clear mats, do you want these Protector (http://www.lloydmats.com/protector.htm) or these Rubbertite (http://www.lloydmats.com/rubbertite.htm) in clear? The protector are $30 and the rubbertite are $36 each set.

5. For the battery, battery mount and charger I will need about 2-3 weeks. I am finishing painting and taking pictures of the door sill project and then will complete the design for the S10/S15 battery mount. It needs a couple changes but nothing that can't be done and re-machined in a week. The batteries run about $125, the charger about $40 and the mount will most likely be in the $75 range (I need to finalize the design and I will know the time it will take to machine it).

Let me know your preferences for the mats and zip code and I will finalize your floor mat order. I am also going to add some options on the battery mount like matte (bead blasted) finish, black anodizing, etc. If you are interested in any of those, let me know. I can work up a cost on the battery mount shortly also.

Thank you,
Anthony Hensley

SWEET. i'm gonna answer in the order of your questions.

Complicated order... here we go:

i know, but at least i'm gonna buy stuff right?!

1. Go ahead and order the heel guard here (http://www.autovationparts.com/store/page154.html) using coupon code 1163546129 for a 25% discount. This will ship in the next 5-7 days once put in the production queue.

i'd rather buy everything all at once instead of multiple orders. is that all right?

2. Which GMC logo do you want on your floor mats (http://www.lloydmats.com/logos_gm.htm)? Would you like 826003 or 883001? The cost of the mat is $94.

i'd like 826003 in RED if at all possible.

3. What is your zip code? I will also need to work up shipping for the floor mats.

zip is 78130 new braunfels, tx

4. For the clear mats, do you want these Protector (http://www.lloydmats.com/protector.htm) or these Rubbertite (http://www.lloydmats.com/rubbertite.htm) in clear? The protector are $30 and the rubbertite are $36 each set.

i showed the wife and she wants the TAN rubbertite mats for her 2009 toyota highlander. for my s10 mats, i want the protector mats.

***I CHANGED MY MIND ON MY MATS!!!*** i want them black with black piping, no gray.

5. For the battery, battery mount and charger I will need about 2-3 weeks. I am finishing painting and taking pictures of the door sill project and then will complete the design for the S10/S15 battery mount. It needs a couple changes but nothing that can't be done and re-machined in a week. The batteries run about $125, the charger about $40 and the mount will most likely be in the $75 range (I need to finalize the design and I will know the time it will take to machine it).

sounds good. i want to buy all of it.

Let me know your preferences for the mats and zip code and I will finalize your floor mat order. I am also going to add some options on the battery mount like matte (bead blasted) finish, black anodizing, etc. If you are interested in any of those, let me know. I can work up a cost on the battery mount shortly also.

i'll probably just go with polished or have my brother powder coat it. thanks for doing all of this for me! joe

Hi Joe, If you want to know what's been delaying the battery mounts, I finally finished up the Sy/Ty door sills (they can be customized with about any design except GM trademarks, I put my Sy's build number and then color matched it to the Sy!):

http://www.autovationparts.com/store/media/images/syty/SyTySill2.JPG

http://www.autovationparts.com/store/media/images/syty/SyTySill1.JPG

http://www.autovationparts.com/store/media/images/syty/SyTySill3.JPG

I've got everything worked up now, here's your current order breakdown:

1. Heel Guard w/ GM Performance Emblem $74.25
2. Lloyd Mats - '92 S10 Black carpet, black piping, Red GMC logo (826003 design) $94.00
3. Shipping on Mats - $20
4. Tan Highlander Rubbertite Mats - $36
5. Clear '92 S10 Protector Mats - $30
6. Odyssey Battery - $120 (shipping included)
7. Battery Charger - $35
8. Battery Mount - $75 (shipping included)

Total: $484.25

I'm going to matte finish the battery mount at no extra charge so the surface finish will match up nicely to the stock intake manifold. You will be the first other than myself to receive the battery mount. Please give me your honest feedback if something should be done differently on them. I want to make sure you are 100% happy with it before I release it publicly. I will send a PayPal payment request via e-mail, let me know if you have any additional questions at this time.

Hi Joe, Sorry for my delayed response, I am traveling this week. Lloyd will ship the mats directly to you (to save on shipping costs), I will check with them early this week on the progress.

Note I am on the road all day Tuesday and Wednesday so if you don't hear from me on Monday, the earliest I can reply will be Thursday. I expect the mats to ship this week and the heel guard/battery mount to ship the following week. If we can't get the heel guard/battery mount out before Thanksgiving, they will ship early the following week.

Hi Joe, I shipped out your battery and lightweight charger today via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation™ Label Number: 9405503699300075976643.

The Lloyd mats have not yet shipped (they have not charged the Autovation account), I will call today (Tuesday) and provide an update.

I am making some changes on the battery mount to make it work better in the battery compartment. I am trying to make as much room as possible for aftermarket turbos and still use the stock battery cables without the need to extend them.

The heel guard is machined and ready to ship when the battery mount is completed. I can ship the heel guard out immediately if you would like, it's no problem.

My goal is to get everything to you by Christmas.

We are machining the mount this week. I thought you might want to see where it is located and the prototyped mockup (half cardboard and half aluminum, lol). Take a look here: http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?p=762221#post762221.

Go ahead and send me the old battery, I may be able to get a credit on it.

Hi Joe, Bad news, my battery distributor sent you the wrong battery. You received a standard PC680 and should have received a PC680MJ (Metal Jacket). The metal jacket prevents the battery from getting heat soaked (bad for this type of battery). Can you ship this battery (and the other damaged PC680) back to me at:

AutoVation
Attn: Anthony Hensley
749 Faulkner Drive
Mt Pleasant, SC 29466

Let me know the shipping and I will reimburse your cost. I apologize for the mistake, you are the first customer for this battery and we do not have the bugs ironed out of our battery ordering process (obviously!). Regarding the mount, I can ship a standard aluminum mount out next Wednesday or a black anodized one about 10 days later.

i found this http://whois.domaintools.com/autovation.net and have called the number listed, but i'm not sure it's anthony's or anyone else at autovation's number.

some interesting threads i found on the google:

http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f8/autovation-wtf-57978/

http://forums.nicoclub.com/autovation-com-pedals-satisfying-the-customer-t429041.html

i found some others awhile back but deleted them from my favorites. as i find them i'll post them.

Bump.....I want to know what is going on with Autovation because I am going to be purchasing floormats soon and I would also like a heel guard as well as door sill plates for my SY. I also think this should be moved to the lounge.

Just the fact that there has been no response to this thread, leads me to believe that SYTY business is not important to them....

Autovation last login: 5:13 yesterday. Oh well.......

Re: my autovation story

I was going to order some stuff for the Ty, SVT's and SoGT from them but now I think I will look elsewhere. I hate when vendors don't take the time to even give you a simple PM or email back. I guess our business isn't important. Good to know they are making plenty of money.

If this thread doesnt get an answer by AutoVation by the end of the week, I am suspending his forum and yanking his priveledges. Im not having vendors on here who cant answer customer questions or respond back when there are issues. If you cant do business properly, then you have no reason to be on this forum. End of story.

Joe, if you need to get ahold me for whatever reason, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help out.

this is why syty.net is so awesome. mods/admins always helping out, yet still being fair to everyone, no matter if the disputing parties are members, donors, or vendors.
this is too bad, autovation looked like they had some good stuff, too bad about the service.

Due to the AutoVation forum being locked, this thread has been moved to the lounge to allow Joe or anyone else to respond and update to the situation.

I hate seeing this in the community. I purchased stuff from him and it was on time and quality ... but it was MONTHS ago ---

Re: my autovation story

Actually, Tony wrote me a PM back on 8/16, but Ive been to busy to respond.

Im going to do something here out of the ordinary. I want YOU guys to decide what needs to be done as the customers.

The PM:

AutoVation said:
Hi Adam,

I did not see the thread on SyTy.net until this week.

There are reasons for the delay on the battery mount but I do not want them posted on the internet. A refund has been processed for the unshipped part to Joseph Ward (FirstGenZq8). When the lightweight battery mount is ready to ship, he will receive one at no charge due to the delay. I have communicated this to Joseph as well. Months ago he received the other 7 items that were ordered.

There are no other negative experiences with SyTy members that I am aware of. This is the only incident.

I have shipped dozens of orders to SyTy members without issue (and over 20,000 orders to other customers) both personally and as a representative of AutoVation. Many more orders were shipped than the 5 people who have responded positively.

Regarding the two only other negative threads on the internet (on other bulletin boards) that were linked from SyTy.net:

1. Thread from a customer who had a problem and continually e-mailed an autovation employee that had left the company (he moved away with his wife) several months before. It is obvious why he did not get a response.

2. Thread from a customer who ordered a complete custom order with anodizing as well who thought he was ordering the complete pedal assembly with hinges and everything? Our pictures (and install instructions) clearly show that is not included.

In addition, we have over 1800 feedback on eBay with only 1 negative response in 8 years.

Please let me know if there is anything else to be done.

Thank you,
-Tony at AutoVation

Re: my autovation story

Making the assumption that all in his PM to you Adam is on the up and up, it would appear that he/they have resolved it. Free product as a result of a delay seems more than fair IMO.

Hi Joe, The heel guard shipped today. I'm going to hook you up on the battery mount and include some connectors as well (I can't find them for under $25 each).

Several things happened over the last several weeks. The biggest problem was we got a bad batch of material in and it screwed up over 50 orders. Everything we machined warped after machining, there was way too much residual stress in the material. We finally got a new batch in and the issue was corrected.

Thank you,

anything new to tell me guys? even another lie; i can take it. are you even in business anymore?

you have been removed as a vendor on syty.net. if you ever hope to sell anything on there again you must clear up my transaction, either by refunding me or finally getting the battery mount and connectors to me. joe

Re: my autovation story

here's some humorous stuff.

since anthony would never reply to my emails, i had a friend email autovation from his account to see their response time. 10 minutes for him to reply back. 10 MINUTES! WTF you say?! read below:

I'm interested in your GRID SERIES pedal set for my 1991 240sx. I was wondering if I could mix and match a few components from your COMPETITION Series as well. Please let me know if this would be possible and if I can make this purchase online or if I'll need to call in my order. Thank you, Avery

Hello Avery,

We can do a custom request with no problem. You can make the purchase online and just e-mail me the details. I will make sure it is correct. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I will be happy to answer them.

hey anthony

i had a friend of mine send you a fake email to see if you'd reply and also to see what your response time would be. wow, you replied in record time! why can't you reply to my email messages? seriously man don't you care that you're no longer a vendor on syty.net??? can you please, PLEASE fab and mail my battery mount and connectors? at least tell me SOMETHING. joe

----------------------------------

i then decided to harass him through eBay. here is his final response.

I have refunded your battery mount cost. When they are ready to ship, you will receive one at no cost. I would provide the reasons for the delay but I would prefer for them not to be posted online. Thank you,
-Tony at AutoVation

Re: my autovation story

so, cliffs notes: yes, everything anthony said in his PM to adam is on the up and up. i received a paypal payment in early august. i agree, free product as a result of a delay is fair. will i get it before the year anniversary mark (november)? i'm not holding my breath.
