I Don't know if I should paint my cladding black with the truck or leave it as it it and just keep it shiny with mothers or something. What's the best thing to do?

I would paint it. Mothers is a pain. It looks good but takes a lot of work. If you are going to paint the truck just remove the cladding and have it painted. I will be painting mine someday

Re: Paint or leave cladding as is?

personally, I like the unpainted cladding, but it's too much work for a truck that actually gets driven. Mine is painted

I painted mine a satin gray that looks good and is easy to maintain. No waxing needed. If I knew how to put pictures in my posts I would show you what it looks like!

Of course, you could always paint it a different color

Do you really? That's nasty.

Sorry I couldn't resist.

I'd paint it. I like the look. I hope to paint mine someday.
But when unpainted is cleaned and shined it looks pretty darn good.

Go for the paint. Plus it is a easy way to go 2 tone on the truck.

mine is painted and it looks great real slick ,the only thing when u paint it is if u drive it alot u will get rock chips,i drive mine 3 times a month at best for a very short time and when i do i have mud flaps that i clip on with little clips then take them off for cleaning etc no holes in cladding works very well.

I bought mine used from a guy who had it painted by the dealer before he rolled it off the lot. Looks great to me. I have no idea why they did not come from the factory that way?

Wow, I'm the only one that voted to keep it unpainted. I like keeping things original, or close to it.

My sy is going for paint in march and i am getting my cladding painted satin black, that way it will still look somewhat stock-original...

When I first wanted to buy this truck, I intended to keep it stock and original, but gave up since it has a salvage title, faulty odometer reading, and has already been through one engine rebuild.
