so much for getting to nats. i am doing the install on a syty51 that was a said. . . bolt on. lol close. my truck now has a unplanned ac delete.didnt work anyway no loss. battery relocation big time suck. and custom oil and water leaks from junk stock unused lines that i forgot about. but i have been working on it for a little over a month and started it for the first time last night with no down pipe and now must order more parts. this is turning into a real pita but will update with pics when the install is finished hopefully it will work long enough to sell it. maybe

Re: PTE51 install with down pipe

I installed the PTE51 turbo and downpipe and i didnt have to delete my AC or relocate my battery(although i want to relocated battery). Did you delete the AC because you wanted to or because you "had" to. i could see relocated the battery because that was a *itch to work around. well i had to modify my batter tray.

Re: PTE51 install with down pipe

Thats weird my ac wasnt in the way. It would have been a little easier if it wasnt there but it all works together. Yeah that wheel well shield was a *itch to get it back in. Are you getting spark to the plugs?? maybe distributor?

Re: PTE51 install with down pipe

where are you located? sounds like you need to find someone who is used to working on these trucks... those mods are pretty straight forward to any competant syty mechanic.

if you have fuel and spark you probably swapped some plug wires during the turbo kit install and the firing order is way off or 180 out.
